Okay folks, what am I to do?

I got a friend invite from someone who has never posted in the forums, as far as I can tell. He says he really needs it. I, on the other hand, like to at least see a post or two or few so I get an idea of what they are like.

He's a complete stranger, should I friend him? Why would he want to friend me? Could there be an ulterior motive is what I'm getting at.

I get a LOT of friend requests. I usually decline them for the following reasons:
1- they are always from a different country
And
2- they are always between 20 and 22 years of age.

IMO:
I feel that if one would like to be my friend then they would send me an email
and try to actually get to know me. I have no clue as to what this new trend
Is about but I will not have a part in it.

At first I was like, "cool, people already want to be friends" then two messages later their accounts were deleted. I ignored friends reqest for a while after that...but now just friend people I have exchanged friendly conversation with regularly, or know in the forums.

Tell him your broke and need him to wire you a plane ticket. So you can meet and start a new friendship. If its a Nigerian, That'll stop em quick.

Noting wrong with getting to no a stranger, tell them that there wecome to write back but as far as friends..."I dont even no u"!.yes you need to crawl before you can run. Remember there are 3 types of boundaries: clasped, rigid & firm, we need to ALWAYS be firm on our boundaries

Yes, the ol "spin Doctor" put the shoe on the
Other foot... a great skill to exercise now n then. People need to be told when they get
ramey that their priorities are usually not someone else's. ..funny stuff. ..but viable options. .lol..

I usually write them and say I don't accept friend requests until having gotten to know someone. Then I decline it. If they message back, I get to see how it goes.

I get a lot of friend requests from men in their early 20's. They are usually from Nigeria. I tend to just block them.
