Topic: The State of New York is Confiscating Guns | |
---|---|
Despite Many Politicos Claims that they would NEVER TAKE GUNS from Law Abiding Citizens, Under the New York Safe Act Gun Owners are being Required to either turn in their weapons, or have the Police Show Up at their Home and Take Them in Violation of the 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 6th Amendments of the U.S. Constitution.
http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/04/09/a-form-of-gun-confiscation-has-reportedly-begun-in-new-york-state-heres-the-justification-being-used/ This is coming on the heels of Governor Cuomo's Outrageous Ad Champaign which targeted Upstate New Yorkers where Gun Ownership is the highest and Promises of Resistance to the New Law is the Strongest promising a $500 Reward (Something that every Crack or Meth Addict would love) to Turn In Anyone with an Unregistered Simi-Auto Rifle and/or a Magazine Capacity higher than 10 Rounds; After a Number of Gun Owners Protested Outside of Cuomo's Office. With such Blatant Disregard for the Rights of Gun Owners being demonstrated by the Government, and the Lack of Language to deny the Government a Registry (Some would argue that Language Exists to create one) in the Universal Background Check Bill; How am I, a Legal Gun Owner to believe that the Federal Government Wouldn't Move to Take My Guns? |

And so it begins........why am I not surprised New York the home of the most draconian laws and policies anymore.....would be the first to do this.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again........the biggest mistake you can make is to assume a government WON'T do something.....you'll almost always be wrong. Ask the Chinese, ask the Germans.....they'll tell you. Know your history people.....unless you wanna repeat it. Government THRIVES when people assume they won't do something, it's how they get away with things. By the time we realize what they've done, it's too late. The time to act is NOW, we can't afford to wait, cause if we wait too long we ALL lose, history has shown that over and over again. These were all in the comments on this page, figure I'd share them here, read and understand folks......your liberty, your safety depends on it. "“We should not blame a gun itself for any crime or any acts of violence, any more than we can blame a pen for misspelling a word.” “Gun control: The theory that a woman found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her panty hose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to police how her attacker got that fatal bullet wound.” – L. Neil Smith “Gun control? It’s the best thing you can do for crooks and gangsters. I want you to have nothing. I’m a bad guy; I’m always gonna have a gun. Safety locks? You will pull the trigger with a lock on, and I’ll pull the trigger. We’ll see who wins.” – Sammy “The Bull” Gravano, whose testimony convicted John Gotti“Gun control has not worked in D.C. The only people who have guns are criminals. We have the strictest gun laws in the nation and one of the highest murder rates. It’s quicker to pull your Smith and Wesson than to dial 911 if you’re being robbed.” – Lieutenant Lowell Duckett, President Black Police Caucus, Special Assistant to Washington, D.C. Police Chief I am convinced that we can do to guns what we’ve done to drugs: create a multi-billion dollar underground market over which we have absolutely no control.” – George L. Roman “This year will go down in history. For the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration. Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead into the future!” – Adolph Hitler, 1935, on The Weapons Act of Nazi Germany |

A gun in the hands of a free man frightens and angers the autocrat, not because he fears the power of the gun, but, rather, the spirit of the man who holds it.

Either you guns out of the hands of crazy people or you don't The article I read said they were confiscating guns from all citizens and paying rats to drop a dime. Where in there does it mention mental capacity? Did I miss something? |

http://www.mrconservative.com/2013/04/11187-so-when-do-we-ban-knives-14-injured-in-mass-stabbing-in-houston/
Every time a tragedy with a gun happens, liberals come out of the woodwork demanding that we ban guns. Of course, that’s just as ridiculous as the idea that we should ban knives after the mass stabbing that has occurred in Houston. Yesterday, 21 year old Dylan Quick went on a rampage at the Lone Star College-CyFair in Texas. He stabbed 14 people, 12 of whom ended up going to the hospital. Even more bizarrely, many of the victims were stabbed in or around the mouth. Although in many cases like this, there are few details about motive this early on, that’s not the case here. According to the local police, who apprehended Quick after he was tackled by a fellow student, he’d had fantasies about stabbing people since his childhood and had extensively planned out his attack. Of course, that brings up an obvious question: Shouldn’t someone who has been fantasizing about doing mass stabbings for years be institutionalized? Maybe that’s a good idea and maybe it’s not, but it at least be a topic that merits a national discussion. Of course, alternatively, liberals may think that we should bring on the knife control. After all, if we took steak knives away from all law abiding Americans, the crazy people couldn’t use them to hurt people. That at least seems to be their rationale with guns. Incidentally, as dumb as that argument may be, you could make a BETTER CASE FOR BANNING KNIVES THAN ASSAULT RIFLES. In 2010, 358 Americans were killed with rifles and 373 died via shotguns while 1704 people were stabbed to death. |

Either you guns out of the hands of crazy people or you don't The article I read said they were confiscating guns from all citizens and paying rats to drop a dime. Where in there does it mention mental capacity? Did I miss something? The interview with the lawyer stated only people who were prescribed anxiety meds were targeted, hence the HIPPAA reference. |

Seems she thinks they are all crazy! And it is already being implemented even though Congress made no provisions! |

However, the State didn't Prove that these people are a Threat to Themselves or to Others; and Often Times, they have been off the Drug for Some Time Without Incident; They are having to Prove in a Court of Law that they Are Not a Threat. Not Only does it Violate their 2nd Amendment Rights, but also their 4th, 5th & 6th Amendment Rights. |

I get anxiety from a hot gal bending over at the grocery store. Why aren't they going after gang-banger guns? |
