Q: What is the difference between "Email" and "Instant Message" on a given profile?

When you left-click the 'Email' button, up will pop a screen for sending that person an email. If you left-click the 'Instant Message' button, up will pop the screen to Instant Message that person on whose profile you find it. (Assuming they and you have your 'Instant Messaging' set up to go :-)
