im leaving now to slay the foe
fight my battles high and low
im leaving mother hear me go
please wish me luck today

ive grown my wings i wish to fly
seize my victories where they lie
im going mom but please dont cry

i want to see and touch and hear
though there are dangers there are fears
ill smile my smiles and dry my tears

this poem is not mine. i got it out of a chicken soup book. i thought that it would be ok to copy it cuz i didnt think that it was copyrighted.
