Not a one Gun Control Law, Passed or Proposed, would keep Guns out of the hands of people like T.J. Lane.
An Ohio judge says he didn’t see the word “killer” written on an admitted school shooter’s T-shirt in court Tuesday or he would have ordered him to change clothes. T.J. Lane, 18, received three life sentences after he pleaded guilty to killing three students at a Chardon, Ohio high school in February 2012. He walked into court and removed a button-down shirt to reveal a white T-shirt with the word scrawled in pen, then added to the display with a brief, obscene statement. “The hand that pulled the trigger that killed your sons now masturbates to their memory. F–k all of you,” Lane said, flipping his middle finger toward victims’ families. In a statement after the hearing, Judge David Fuhry said he did not see Lane’s T-shirt, according to USA Today. “The court was unaware of the shirt. The court did not notice the shirt. Had the court noticed the shirt, the court would have immediately stopped the proceedings, adjourned the court and the court would have ordered the defendant to put on proper attire,” Fuhry said. |

How is this a reason to oppose gun control? The monster shot and killed three other students, for no apparent reason.

Yes, you love your guns. We get it. I enjoy shooting, I shoot a Min of a Hundred Rounds aweek; sometime two or three hundred. I also have a Big, Mean, Powerful, King Kong Instructor to train me in Weapon Retention on a Regular Basis with a Mock (Paintball) Gun; if I can land a couple of shots on him before he disarms me, a Rapist wouldn't have a prayer. I have never shot anyone with a Gun, nor do I want to; but if the Unthinkable Happens, I'm won't go down without a fight. |

I do not agree with guns but I also will not support taking guns away from people that treat them responsibly. Most of the people are correct, more gun control laws would only hinder law abiding people, while the criminals would still get guns. I do feel that guns should be a last resort, not the first thing you grab. Laws should be a little stricter though in the respect of people that don't respect guns, no the guns don't kill people but they sure as hell make it alot easier...

How is this a reason to oppose gun control? The monster shot and killed three other students, for no apparent reason. Because the Monsters will still get Guns if you take Guns away from Law Abiding Citizens. Do you really think the answer is arming school children? It's not even clear from the article (and unlikely, anyway) that those murdered students would have had time to draw a gun on their attacker, if they were carrying guns. Then there's the raised probability of other gun incidents if school kids are allowed to carry guns. |

I think the OP makes a good case for the death penalty.

What about school teachers and administrators?? |

Had the attacker known the possibility that the students had guns,he might have reconsidered his attacking them first place. |

I am not sure she talked about arming children.......thinking you are reaching a bit on that one. What about school teachers and administrators?? OK. You might need to read up on the crime. Some kids were waiting at a bus stop. The shooter walked up and shot the three other kids. They die and the shooter goes to jail for life without parole. Even if the teachers had guns, it's not clear they'd be able to shoot the monster before the other three lay dead on the ground. To alleoops: The shooter shot first and for no reason. Those kids, unless they usually have the guns in hand would not have been about to draw and fire before the shooter fired another shot. I'm sorry, but YOU missed the point, and that being that the opening post has nothing to do with a reason against gun control laws. |

What that Guy did with the Gun could have just as easily done with a Machete! Case in point,RWANDA! Tell me again how well Guncontrol works in California! And by making nitpicking Arguments ,you still haven't made a case for Guncontrol! Guncontrol does not address the Issues you bring up! They are mainly muddying the waters! |
