generally positive

all things are not positive that happen tho...sometimes being negative is required for self preservation

I agree.. being negative purely as a survival tactic... flowers

right - I get totally peeved with people or situations when I have to go there because I really do not wanna go there

Maybe you understand the feeling... when I have to react negatively, it's like something inside me dies a little each time... that's why I have to stay positive, even when going thru trials, because negative energy zaps me to the core...

yes I do understand. I had to totally cut negative and or pushy (becasue to me pushy is nego energy probably Ima a total introvert on the MMBTI so pushy extroverts just zap my strength)...out of my life. Only recently have I been able to handle some of it...in the work place. On a personal level , it's something I will avoid completely still.

it's one thing to make the occasioal critical remark (as in true critical thinking) it's another to just be negative about every thing that happens....can't deal with that

OMG! How I can truly identify with what you're saying... negative energy is so intense there's no way to be anywhere near it without feeling its toxic vibes... it's downright draining... and some people actually live and wallow in it... yikes... I've only been able to accustom myself too being within arms reach of it since I came online 6 months ago, and the only reason I can cope more easily with it now, is becuz I can always click the close X button and shut it out of my head quickly... in real life I can't stay in the same vicinity with aggressive negativity at all... and don't associate with people that live this way... I'm not being judgmental or biased, because I feel sorry for people that can't find inner happiness and peace, I just have to avoid it for my own peace of mind and soul... It's really so cool to meet someone else who feels the same intensity and copes the same way too... flowers

yup it's totally toxic, I agree. it's to be avoided at all costs. where I work some negative practices that we had successfully removed over a year ago are being put back in place. I still haven't decided my course of action in response...wait & see, I guess is what I am doing now, but it's got me "thinking". It's depressing.

Sorry to hear that for sure... I'm curious now too, wondering why your employer would bring any type of negativity into the workplace, especially if they decided previously to remove it... I hope everything works out for you on this issue, because I know how a job can feel more demanding when we're depressed about it... flowerforyou

actually things there are OK. A lot of changes though that have happened immediately after we were told there would be no more changes for the time being....everyone is jumpy except me and this one other guy there. but it's fine. I am more concerned about the negatives outside of work in my personal life....that's where it counts...work is just...work - eh? w/e

I'm both..but i can be extremely positive when evryone expects me to be negative or vice versa.it grabs attention and you get more opinions and also get to know who's truly on your side and who's not.(that is if involving with others)Other than that i'm an optimist that strive for the impossible to be possible.

Everyone has a general demeanor that we display as we interact together, and our personality type can be readily identified by the impression we make on each other. So, do you present with a positive or negative outlook, energy? Are you polite with everyone, or are you rude to some? Are you a listener, or, are you a talker?

I can be...

Negative at times (usually if I don't get any sleep)
Positive (when the mood strikes me)
Try to be polite (although my personality does rub some people the wrong way—until you get to know me)
I like conversation, but I'm also a good listener.

I see, so you have one personality trait that requires sufficient sleep to placate... I'm with you on this one... another, like mine, seems dependent on the moon (mood adaptability)... and yet another with an abrasive edge that becomes smooth over time... we all take some getting used too at first, wouldn't you agree? And you enjoy the quality of give and take in interesting conversations... again, I can appreciate this too...
