Keep it up man! I'm almost two months. I quit to get my life back. I lost my job due to drinking and it was consuming my life, money and relationships

I never had an addiction, but many I know and love have and do...It's hard because it is frustrating to see someone you love and respect get lost...I am holding you close in my thoughts and I wish you luck, returning health, peace, and happiness...Find a support group in your area and get with some peeps who have traveled the same road and understand what you are going through...flowerforyou

thankyou! i drank to help me sleep, to take my fears away from the dark at night, cause it let me enjoy certain tv shows more, it made my food taste better, and the buzz it gave me i liked, and sometimes i liked the taste of beer even, but i abused it for like 7 years strong almost everyday. i was always a night or late evening drinker. towards the end of my drinking reign which was recently, i linked drinking more to a certain fetish. but now i am happy to have ended it. maybe i will have a little wine once in a blue moon or on special occasions or have one shot of jim beams devil cut on new years or a wedding. thanks for your prayers and hope all has been well on your end!

I just sat in the doctor's office to day and over heard him lecturing a guy that quit drinking 2 days ago that his tests and enlarged liver could kill him.

You don't want to be that guy.

Also when I was in the ER after my botched gall bladder surgery, they took forever to get to me and I couldn't help but over hear them telling this guy it was too late. His drinking was going to kill him. He needed to be at least 1 year sober to qualify for a transplant and he did not have a year left to live.

Don't be that guy either.

I am here for you, my friend.
