Remember, God created Eve to be a "helper" for Adam, not their playmate. Although God added some delightful features for their mutual enjoyment. He understood that Adam would need a supportive and loving friend in order to deal with the stresses of life. Do you have any idea how strong a marriage can be when a husband and wife are each other's best friend, when they are truly one? Extremely powerful and solid.

Like Samson, men sometimes go after the wrong women. They marry women, who are "all right in their eyes," who entice their senses, or promote their image. Many of these men are the ones, who end up having affairs. Because after the sexual attraction wore off, and the real life set in, the man realized he needed a life companion, who was also his friend.

we need to find out what the word covenant means! it is a life long promise cut by blood.it cannot be broken by the courts and it cant be put together without gods blessing.it is not only for this lifetime but generations to come.my grandparents understood this and were married for 78 yrs!!did they always agree?no grandma would get mid evil on grandpa sometimes but they always had each others back and took the good with the bad.as they began to get old together all you could see was love and 1000 percent loyal and in love.more to come later..by materdlg (damon)

You're right.
Sexual attraction is not the most important thing.
But it is an important thing in marriage.

The most important thing is for 2 people to be submissive to
God's will and marry God's choice for each of them.
(My experiences have been: God can only give Very Good [teleios; complete, your hearts' desires] gifts.)

Also, it is smart to understand how God intentionally designed male and female.

God gave women estrogen, so they need AFFECTION like air and water.

And God gave men testosterone, so they need SEX like air and water.

These are Divine design (intentions) -- I guess so there would be procreation ... population.
