This is an example:

"mightymoe, I think you have illegal weapons in your house. I think I will send some of my henchmen over and you better give them unrestricted access to search your home.... or else.!!

I believe you have bad intentions, so you need to prove to me that you don't and that you don't have illegal weapons in your house. Or any weapons you do have need to be inspected. "

(That's pretty much what they are saying to Iran.)

they proved themselves they have bad intentions, and all the world knows it but you... and if they did think i had illegal weapons in my house, they will search it, for the good of the people around me... do you think i should have illegal weapons and not be searched?

You have a right to bear arms. There are no "illegal" weapons.

The legislation they are passing is illegal. They are criminals. We should not have to obey tyrannic criminals.

right to "bear arms" doesn't mean anything thats made... i'm not sure where you people come up with this crap at... does the term "for the good of the people" mean anything to you? so, by your standards, i should be able to walk down the street with an RPG launcher with me?...
actually YES,but WOE if you use it in an Inconsistent Manner!

Still doesn't mean we ought to let Countries like NK or the Iran have any Nukes, moreover since they signed a Treaty pledging not to develop any,yet all the Evidence points to the contrary.

i'm not sure of a consistant manor in which to use a RPG launcher..., but either way, i don't think they need to be in the hands of joe public... i'm all for guns, but i do think they need to limit what we can get...

really? and they weren't in a with iraq and Israel? it doesn't matter who started what, fact is this is one of the few times they aren't in a war...

As far as I know, Iran and Israel have never had a war, and the war with Iraq, was started by Iraq with the blessing of (and WMDs supplied by) the US.

So you're saying that it doesn't matter who is the aggressor and who is the defender in a war? I have to disagree; I think it matters greatly.

"one of the few times they aren't in a war"?…Maybe I missed something, because I don't know of any other wars involving Iran in recent history, so please enlighten me; outside of the Iran-Iraq war, what other wars can you cite that Iran fought?

if they did think i had illegal weapons in my house, they will search it, for the good of the people around me.

So you'd let your neighbours go through your house with a fine tooth comb because THEY suspect you of wrongdoing? What if you're doing nothing wrong?…are you still gonna let them go thru all your private stuff to make them happy? Why?

by your standards, i should be able to walk down the street with an RPG launcher with me?

If you need to, yes. Leastways, you have the right to buy & own one, to spite what your "government" may think.

Like this strawman argument?

What strawman argument? Making a comment of my perception is a strawman argument?…News to me.

The lack of power in the position of the crown makes this analogy somewhat specious.

Not specious at all. The Queen is Britain's head of state, and has only DELEGATED the authority of her office. She STILL maintains the Royal Prerogative, so she's not as powerless as most people think. Contrary to popular belief, the Monarchy is a lot more than "ornamental." Since her "partnership" with the Old Lady of Threadneedle Street gives her incredible economic power over her countries, I'd say she has more power over the commonwealth than the Mullahs do over Iran.

so, by your reasoning dukky, it would have been ok with you if he used an RPG launcher at sandy hook because the Constitution has no restraints against it? the Constitution has been amended many times, to protect us from advancing technology... but in this case, there should be no amendments? whoa

How do you know an RPG launcher wasn't used at Sandy Hook?...Did the guys charged with the investigation finally get the story straight?

In any event, the people should be able to have weaponry that would make them competent against any army, foreign or domestic, just in case they ever find themselves fighting one, which they won't, as long as they are armed well enough.

I'm curious...What constitutional amendments have been implemented to protect Americans from advancing technology?

I think the belief that "The Crown" has no power is a ruse. (Its a bald faced lie actually.)

But just for the benefit of the doubt, IF "The Crown" has no position of power... excuse me when I say...

Down with the Monarchy!!

Get rid of the freaking Queen and all of her vampire sons.

They are useless inbred freaks.
