I guess I have a "safety first" rule....where we meet in a neutral public location....and basic common sense / follow my instincts from there and the only other one covers a lot of territory - that would be manners - basic manners - this covers phone calls, etc...if someone doesn't call if they have said they will, that is inconsiderate and not good manners. it probably will not work I might call him tho - and see what he has to say....especially if the point is that I just really feel like hearing his voice Yeah; I would insist on meeting at a public place due to safety issues and if a meal was included; I would insist on paying my part of the bill. I also would not have sex on the first date. I think meeting at a public place is definitely a good rule. As is the going dutch on a first date. |

I have a new rule not to meet with online person(s) under an overpass at 1 am in an industrial park.

I guess one of my rules would be when meeting someone online, meet somewhere public or where I work. Public places are good. I wouldn't have a new date meet me where I work in case it didn't work out. The last thing I need is some guy I didn't hit it off with showing up later at my place of work. |

I never know what the rules are. I think they all just passed me by. I didn't either, however I can see some people have many rules I've never heard of! |
