How did you feel when you saw your baby for the first time ?......your answers would be appreciated.

With my first, terrified.
But I have loved them all as soon as i had them, but then again I love children and babies that arnt mine as well.

Everyone feels differently, I have had friends that have felt detached, but they are great mums, some people feel overwhelmed, some feel nothing, and others are overjoyed.

There is nothing that is wrong as we are all different, and all react differently to things, including having a baby

Amazingly, I was quite calm. I had been holding my wife's hand while she underwent a C-Section. As soon as my son was born, I followed a nurse as she took my son to another room to take measurements and to clean him up. When she was done, she handed my son to me.

Amazed that God would bless me with such a wonderful gift. :)

Actually it seemed like everyone else seen him before I did. I had a c-section and was completely out...I didn't wake up for about 8 hours and then I was able to see him. I thought he was the best looking baby I ever seen...of course I am the mother!!!
Then with my 2nd one, I did the epidural with my c-section. I was really tired and I was so sick that I wasn't really that thrilled at first. BUT when I wasn't groggy...he was so beautiful.
I have 2 healthy boys that are now both over 18...fine young men!!

my first i was overwhelmed with love and joy and fear but my other 3 i was just filled with love and joy. all 4 of my boys are my heart and soul!

my husband and I had wanted to start a family together, and both wanted a boy, having him and my mother there to bring my boy in the world was amazing,,,,but the process was tiring,,lol


my second, terrified and terrified

I had terrible panic attacks with the second because her dad was on the flaky side and I Was nervous what the future would hold for her, I alo had a medical condition at the time that I wasnt sure would affect the pregnancy,,,,,

I was amazed when I first saw her though, she was tinier than her brother had been and my belly was so big from the Csection, when she lie down on it,, it was just surreal to look at,,,

love at first sight, happy. comfortable. They were warm, a little fuzzy in places and snookery :)
