As I cross out the sun,
And dot along the moon, Trace these clouds, And connect all of the stars, I cannot help but question, Question the fundamental reason, If death will be my end, It does beg the question why it would start. I am lying naked among tall grass, And chipping away at asphalt personality, I am burning everything in my path, Because no one should have to do this. As I empty the oceans of all their life, And scorch the forest with all my hate, I show that I despise this creation, This creature of destruction and chaos, I cannot help but question, Question why it is you still believe, If you are allied with the invisible man in the sky, It does beg the question how you expect to cross the river. I am lying naked among tall grass, And chipping away at asphalt personality, I am burning everything in my path, Because no one should have to do this. |

Fundamental questions in prose. But personally I think that these questions can only be answered by ouselves. Then we have to get our naked-selves up and walk the hard asphalt of what we chose to believe for our own selves. Though chipping-away seems like a good start. "Should" seems to be driven from within. Should I follow the desires of my heart? Should I roll with flow? idk, gl. |

For me this is not simplistic, it is intricate!...It is not interpretive, it's profoundly stated!...NOT asking fundamental questions, rather "questioning" fundamental reason(s) (purpose) for life that shows no respect for life yet continues to embrace the idea of being rewarded with eternal life....In my most humble opinion, a gifted write....Thank you for this one Fear! |

Spot on, I am actually surprised...The beauty of poetry, prose, lyrics, or songs, whichever you prefer, is that they hold personal to us because we interpret them in our own ways. I'm just surprised anyone really caught my intention, I applaud your wayword thinking, Leigh. Thank you all for the comments and compliments, they are all equally as valued and I appreciate them all. |

Darn... I came in too late.
I think that it's beautiful in it's simplicity too. And simple is always sooo complex. (An aside... this life and the next next-life, I see as two different things. So having higher regard for one over the other doesn't hang me up too much, idk.) Beautiful write. |

The philosophy digs deeper though because it is built around the foundation of my ideas, so really this is only one part of a much bigger entirety. I'm glad you enjoyed it, as always it is much appreciated. Thank you. |
