Your close, but money isn't an entity...The entity that has killed more people than any other in history is the International Banking Cartel, as represented by the BIS. It governs the entire world's economic system and therefore all nations are only pieces on the Great Monopoly Board it controls. If you support it with tribute, you are a slave. Any nation trying to be economically sovereign is slated to be destroyed by other nations in its service (Libya is a good example of this). Almost all wars over the last hundred years have been set up by the Banking Cartel for profit and control.

Who has killed more people that all other entities?...The Bank.

A hat needs a head, so there's no point in putting a hat of any description on your Xmas list.

...or to incite it. Violence and deception are the only tools a tyranny seems capable of using. When deception fails, the only other option they see is violence, which they will either initiate or incite in order to "clamp down."

Peaceful non-compliance is the only truly effective countermeasure. (i.e. not falling into the trap they set), but for that to be effective, people should be ready to fight a guerrilla war for their freedom. If they are not, they have no credible deterrent to government-initiated violence and will get stomped anyway.

The "Don't tread on me!" stance is only effective when the treader knows the snake has a fatal bite. If it does, it won't get stomped on.

I need a rigorous definition of entity.

The legal definition from Black's 9th edition:

entity. An organization (such as a business or a governmental unit) that has a legal identity apart from its members or owners.

I think that might be a bit too restrictive for general use, so in more general terms the one I found in the Free Dictionary (thefreedictionary.com) at least allows human beings to be "entities."...In fact it allows just about everything to be an entity.

entity
n. pl. en·ti·ties
1. Something that exists as a particular and discrete unit: Persons and corporations are equivalent entities under the law.
2. The fact of existence; being.
3. The existence of something considered apart from its properties.

I think when we consider the presumption in the minds of most that the word is more specific in its application than the actual definition, we're better off with a slight modification to Black's definition....Let's change it to read:

A (natural or artificial) person (such as a business or a governmental unit) that has a legal identity apart from its member(s) or owner(s).

This definition makes "person" and "entity" synonymous.

Whattya think?
