Topic: Ladies.. What is a "Nice Guy" ? | |

Oh...and it could be that I know what I want in life and a man now. I have been so lucky in my life. So, until the right man comes along again, I will stay single. I have a blueprint of who he is.

Daleray you are a nice guy!
Some of these comments about nice guys I can't agree with. Nice guys don't finish last- the finish first in my book! I am not looking for a bad boy man at all. I had a nice guy in my life... he died a few years ago. I am looking for a nice guy! Manners and Kindness have always rated very hi with me... |

The definition of nice guy is surrounded by abstract concepts. There is no definitive way to measure a nice guy versus a bad guy. Only one who is wise will know the difference.
To me, a nice guy does not equal a doormat. He is kind and compassionate. This does not mean he will take crap from others, but see no reason to put someone down without any just cause. He is respectful towards others. What does this mean? He sees people as people, as human beings with strengths and weakness, flaws and potential. He is also honest and faithful. This is how I see a nice guy. Now, some will claim unjustifiably that nice guys finish last, but that is untrue. The truth is that relationships take time to find and develop. Nice guys and gals will want something more than a fling, but a connection with someone. This is not something that will happen everyday or overnight. Most often it is found by chance meeting with just the right condition and amount of time that is needed to truly to get to know someone. This is why so many of us find it hard to find someone. This is because we are not willing to settle for anything, but to true love which is very much like rolling the dice. Unfortunately, the dice do not always come up in our favor. My advice is that it isn’t so much a nice guy/gal that we are looking for, but the right person for us. Granted, we would like them to be a nice guy/gal. They will be someone that will compliment us; someone that we can connect to. We may or may not find that someone today or tomorrow or ever which is why we 1st have to have strength in ourselves. We have to accept and love ourselves for who we are. This will allow our hearts to open and be ready to meet the right person. If we don’t meet the right person, then we at least have ourselves. My second advice is that as nice as it would be to meet the right person, appreciate the journey. Forget about destination. Not every guy/gal you will meet will be the right one for you, but they may be great friend in making. Truthfully, we can always use a friend. To everyone Take Care - Alexia |
