I think when you live alone you learn how to cook for yourself, I am not really one for cooking for others except making a good breakfast, bacon, sausages, eggs, tomatoes, etc.
I love to grill. I wonder how many people cook these days using fresh produce rather than tinned or frozen veg, etc, I rarely use fresh, just lazy I guess and my green salad comes washed in a bag for convenience, but at least it's fresh.

Yes, many men learn to cook when they become single. However, like you said, foods are already prepared so it is not that hard to cook for yourself these days. I think Most people use some prepared foods for their meals.
