Is THIS really what America wants or needs? If the just introduced H.J. Res 15 passes, Barack Obama will LEGALLY be able to be our dictator for the remainder of his life. I surely hope that all liberty loving patriots speak up to their Congressmen and women that 4 years of Barack Obama has been bad enough, we surely don’t need him around running America into the ground for another 40 years. The story below from Investment Watch Blog.:
H.J.Res. 15: Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to repeal the twenty-second article of amendment, thereby removing the limitation on the number of terms an individual may serve as President.

Repealing term limits is a backwards step. Again I don't advocate violence at all but this would be a clear sign we have to act up and do the only thing these men know to fear. Organize, gain support within the military and turn on these men like wolves.

I thought Obama himself would steer clear of anything like this that would make him look worst than he already is.

Whats to say this unto itself is not misinformation? The media has been lying to us harder than hell lately! Instead of turning our attentions for the moment to our leadership maybe we should focus on the messengers and kill the ones delivering LIES! I hate bad news but if it is the truth what can you do about it?

So if a news story that is a lie leads to the death of an innocent person/ people does that not make the person "delivering" said lie a murderer?

its gotten no support since it was FIRST proposed,, way back in 1997, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2007,

Hoyers explanation in 2005

'Rep. Hoyer, Feb. 17, 2005: The time has come to repeal the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution, and not because of partisan politics. While I am not a supporter of the current President, I feel there are good public policy reasons for a repeal of this amendment. Under the Constitution as altered by the 22nd Amendment, this must be President George W. Bush’s last term even if the American people should want him to continue in office. This is an undemocratic result.

Under the resolution I offer today, President Bush would not be eligible to run for a third term. However, the American people would have restored to themselves and future generations an essential democratic privilege to elect who they choose in the future.

i looked it up, it is an actual bill, but has a zero chance of passing right now... i just can't understand why they would set it up to fail... unless there is another bill with it they want to not pass...

probably just giving it time,,,the alleged reasoning is 'democratic',, allowing the people to vote in whomever they wish (the process of voting will still be involved) for however long they wish

,,,at this point, ITS DEFINITELY not gonna pass, as congress is not interested in working with Obama for even his next three years

IT didnt pass under Bush, or Clinton,,,,but somewhere in our distant future it might

many once thought america would never change the definition of marriage,,,but the culture constantly changes,,,,,

Pretty High Hurdles and Steep Hills to amend the US Constitution!
Wish it were that hard to amend the Swiss Constitution!

How To Amend the US Constitution
Methods for Proposing and Ratifying Amendments to the Constitution

By Robert Longley, About.com Guide
See More About:

* u.s. constitution
* u.s. congress
* states' role in amending the constitution

Article V of the Constitution spells out the processes by which amendments can be proposed and ratified.

To Propose Amendments

* In the U.S. Congress, both the House of Representatives and the Senate approve by a two-thirds supermajority vote, a joint resolution amending the Constitution. Amendments so approved do not require the signature of the President of the United States and are sent directly to the states for ratification.

* Two-thirds of the state legislatures ask Congress to call a national convention to propose amendments. (This method has never been used.)

To Ratify Amendments

* Three-fourths of the state legislatures approve it, or

* Ratifying conventions in three-fourths of the states approve it. This method has been used only once -- to ratify the 21st Amendment -- repealing Prohibition.

The Supreme Court has stated that ratification must be within "some reasonable time after the proposal." Beginning with the 18th amendment, it has been customary for Congress to set a definite period for ratification. In the case of the 18th, 20th, 21st, and 22nd amendments, the period set was 7 years, but there has been no determination as to just how long a "reasonable time" might extend.

Of the thousands of proposals that have been made to amend the Constitution, only 33 obtained the necessary two-thirds vote in Congress. Of those 33, only 27 amendments (including the Bill of Rights) have been ratified.
