There is nothing that can be said that will change what happen yesterday. Hug your babies tight for we are blessed that we can do that today...
My heart goes out to all that are suffering at this time....may they find the peace that is needed to get through the days ahead... |

I feel sorry for those people and the news should be talking about the victims not the man who do the crime. It's not about the killer it's about the victims and i hate the news. I really do hope schools will allow the teachrs to have guns in schools now to protect the students and themselves. Virgina Tech happened and well something more should be done! We need to send our kids to school with bullet proof vests now!!!! You never know what could happen very sad and I do pray for those who lost there loved one's very sorry for you loss.

This has touched the world. My FB friends who are predominantly Kiwi are deeply saddened by it and continue to light candles in memory of the children, and post heroic feats of those who lost their lives to save them. Heros such as DAWN LAFFERTY HOCHSPRUNG will never be forgotten.

Haven't been able to stop thinking about this still, still makes me ill. I wanted to drive to Oregon and take my grandkids out of school and keep them at home and safe with me all day, which I know doesn't make sense (I need to work and they need a life) - my grandson is 8, the same age or slightly older than the ones killed. Just tears me up that some sick dog did this to the kids. I blame his mother - she had the guns and did not have them under lock and key, and she took him to the gun range and taught him to shoot them. She also knew he was sick, had tried many meds, etc., so I cannot understand why she would ever leave guns unlocked in the house with him. I blame her and him. So many people suffered because of her stupidity.
These families will never get over this, not completely. How terribly sad. Keeping them and everyone involved in my thoughts and prayers. (What the EMTs, police, etc., must have seen and dealt with when they arrived on scene, how incredibly awful.) |

Having lived through the Carollton Bus Crash whose children were from Radcliff, Kentucky I can tell you that the families and the community will forever carry the scars in a profound way. I just wonder what it is going to take to make us all stop and think of how we can prevent such dangerous weapons from getting in the hands of people who obvioulsy have not the character, maturity, or sanity to know or care about the consequences of their actions. I would like to see every single person touched by this send pennys in leiu of tears to the Mayor of the community to build a memorial to the children and teachers. In response to the recent request of the community I will now suggest that you send those same funds as an honorairium to a charity of your choice. A good one is in almost every District Attorney's office there is a Victim's Assistance Fund so that crime victims can recieve assistance for documentable expenses. They are strictly regulated and from what I have seen fairly disperssed. |
