I looked in the mirror, what did I see? an ugly duckling , stating back at me. when your told your worthless and unwanted every day you soon begin to believe what they say. people can be ugly,people can be mean and they prey on those with no self esteem Then one day I learned something new It all started with the quote "to thy own self be true." I looked in the mirror and what did I see? I good person looking back at me. Knowing I was good, decent and kind helped me to leave my bad self image behind. I'm a work in progress every day Now and again I still loose my way But through the fog the sunshine appears and soon chases away all of my fears. I can look in the mirror, and love what I see A true reflection of the real me.
