Navy,YOU are totally correct, age can bring limitations. Those limitations are what each individual allows in their life. There are older people doing unusual extreme things, that they CHOSE to do. So that tells me, each individual SETS their own limitations. We LIMIT ourselves. I like to push my limits. IF & when I die?

I LIVED MY WAY. PUSH THE LIMITS & LIVE.

Agreed. I am just more cautious about pushing my limits as I don't want to injure myself or possibly kill myself. I would actually like to collect my old age pension and enjoy life without say being paralyzed or in a wheel chair but to each his/her own. After having a very bad car accident in which I couldn't walk for 4 years; I realize that I am no invincible as I felt when I was 20, so yes I do set limits on myself.

LOL I have been lucky that I have never broken a bone in my body and don't have arthritis but have had my share of pulls and strains. You are right that when we take a fall; we don't bounce as well as when we were young and take a lot longer to get up from the fall. laugh

I've been studying this situation and have concurred that this is the site we go to for hope, but in seeing this for myself there is going to be NO HOPE unless one goes out and seeks it other than here!! This is really all a hopeless nightmare of allusions with false pretense!!

I never understood why becoming older is looked down or feared.
I mean really, who decides if you are old or not .If you are old so what???If you are young so what?
We all come into this world at different times and we all leave it at different times. Its what you do with TODAY that matters.
Enjoy every minute you have, whether you are young or old.

I agree. My dad died very suddenly, a young man of 58. He told me a few weeks before that time: Treat each day like it is your last day on earth. You may never again get the chance to tell someone you love them or get to say good bye.

I am sorry about your Dad Kandy. The advice he gave you was right on. My parents used to tell me the same thing.

Thanks BettyB, Dad had premonition of his death. We talked in length of what to do afterwards. It caused a lot of jealousy with my sisters because they did not get to say goodbye.

Grief does funny things to people sometimes. Its misplaced anger. I hope its all resolved now. Family is so important.

thanks to the internet I found the siblings I had not seen in many years. It was good for them to vent and we can chat on Face Book. Time helps to heal ones soul if you let it.

Sorry, that you feel that way. I don't look at this site to give me hope but instead just to say hi to friends and have a bit of discussion. Fact is I am always out and about living life and honestly way to busy to seek someone or make the time for someone else. I think if it helps to get out and meet people to give you hope; then by all means get out there. I don't know where you live but we have lots of meet up groups here in the city. If you have them where you live; go and out a join a group or two.

Here lies the secret of leading a good life.
(After 40 you didn't think of your age and at 04 you were not in a position of thinking age.)

 After a certain age we fly our own colors,
For the men its either gray, white, silver or bald-semi bald and lately some color hair!
For the Ladies same as above + wigs.
But we All play our own song and belong to belong to the same group !!
"THE RICE KRISPIES"
Every time we move its"Snap, Crackle, Pop"
Then some have that strange sound when walking "pfooot, pfooot, pfooot (the walking farts!)" best to in front of those" Welcome To the "GOLDEN YEARS" laugh It sucks!!! But be happy happy happy you don't Wake up Dead daily!!?????devil
