Why do people put up 2 profiles and act like two different people?
I have noticed and observed (wont mention names) people who have two different profiles but they are the same person? Wassup with THAT???

multiple personalities require multiple profiles

some of the reasons that i have heard:creating drama,spying on someone else, using them to test the honesty of another person and a lack of self confidence.

Or people are trying to be 'stealth' or possibly being jerks and 'testing' those they are talking to.

So how do you know if someone has more than one profile? Did you ask him/her? Or do you suspect it?

There is no practical reason for two profiles. Perhaps they hope for two chances talking to the same person in case they said something stupid... that's what I'd use it for if I decided to be deceptive like that.

I know cause I called(not on the phone..mind you) the person on it and he admitted it....then all of a sudden..he erased the other one....so I knew i was right...jus't didnt get it...why the heck WOULD someone WANT 2 profiles? I'd get confused too if i did it..haha..oh well..

the ones that i know of...use the profiles to incite people, starting topics that are slightly offensive or stereotypically defined.

they seem to enjoy having profiles that are supposedly of misfits...and then speak of the discrimination that they face.

those are the ones i know of on THIS site. on another that i was on...there was a guy that had five profiles, and MANY women thinking they were in love with him. one lady would use HER other profiles to back up any statement she made that was challenged. if someone were to disagree with her, she'd have all her other profiles come on and say how smart she was, and how nuts was the party that dissented.

patterns. there's always a pattern.
