Think yer wrong about the clowns policies and the benefits to America and small business, but neither of the 2 parties will do anything to fix that. Their agenda requires a broken nation where people turn to the gov't for everything.... best form of control is to control the money, and an indebted nation of taxpayers and credit card holders is so much easier for the bankers and wall street corps to control. When yer swimmin in the sewer the few times you don't see a turd can be special moments! Take away our guns and over price our ammo, call us "viable risks", accuse us of thought crimes, put us on a kill list (this clown thinks it's ok to kill US citizens without due process), cover our nation with drones and stop light cameras to invade our privacy, kill women and children in foreign countries after receiving a peace prize, jail us indefinately, search us without warrants, tell us what we can and can't eat or drink, choose which laws to prosecute, usurp states rights voted for by the people of them, use problems to promote and grow more gov't, divide us against ourselves, ask for or award themselves pay raises and benefits but heaven forbid they take a pay cut or give up benefits.... Sorry, can't say anything good about the direction we're going under the "control" of either of our 2 main socialist parties, or their banker controllers. The truth is neither party works for the people......The "shift" has been subtle and continuous...It has traveled though administration after administration as the wand passed from one party to the other and back again... Limit Federal government to its intention according to the constitution.....Return control to the states by allowing them to self govern....Government cannot GIVE without first TAKING...Politics was never meant to be profitable....Rather than working "FOR THE PEOPLE", todays politicians work "FOR THE POWER"... That's why the system is breaking down and the problem lies with both parties..... |

Can anybody find one of these amendments (our bill of rights), written in plain english, that our "leaders" have not taken it upon themselves to violate?
Seems to me the "security" they offer in lieu of our rights is the real terrorist threat! Second Amendment – Militia (United States), Sovereign state, Right to keep and bear arms. I think there is blame to spread around to all of our elected officials...And it doesn't help that our nation has become so split and divided and after "blood."...I hope that there is a thorough investigation about the situation in Benghazi just like we had an investigation to find out what could have been done to prevent the 9-11 attacks...Mistakes were made in both cases. The difference is that Democrats didn't form a lynch mob and go after Bush and Cheney right after the attacks and deaths occured...But I'm all for transparency...Thousands of soldiers have lost their lives during the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Where is the public outcry and outrage over all of the soldiers who have died? And all of the brain injuries and limbs that have been lost?...The deaths in Benghazi were tragic. And we need to learn from the mistakes that were made there...I'm glad that Obama ended the Iraq war. And I'm glad that he is winding down the war in Afghanistan so we won't have so many soldiers "at risk" and in "harm's way." Their lives are important too. "Good Post"... |

I guess if we were in a crowd of people who liked to needle others some would look at us and say we are doing fine, and maybe this is that crowd I don't know. I do know that I have received 15 emails so far of which people have thanked me for making my points and been very polite about it. It's not my cup of tea though to be needling when there is so much to do. I think many of the "real points" being made here are good ones. But as a free American the last thing I would want to do is come up on a forum and tell someone they made a good point to have them needle me. I can't help but feel that this type of thing is exactly why the folks in Washington "do" have a hard time agreeing. I can only imagine how many folks would truly love to give their point of view if they felt a little more safety from attacks or needling on forums. So here's how I see it. There is what 7 or 8 people talking on this topic and 15 others who have taken the time to email me privately. One of them is on this topic, but the other 14 don't feel they want to be "bashed" while making a point. To me my job as someone who cares and an American would be not do things to silence the peoples voice but to enhance it. Just as I have appreciated your voices and respect their right to be heard it would also be nice to hear the other voices. Here's the other thing that kinda bugs me. There has been a lot of assuming on my take on things, when I never gave my point of view on anything but what I said. Quite frankly some of this took me off guard, esspecially when I agree with their points and I was still put under fire. That tells me that maybe these people don't really want to discuss on a discussion forum. The take from the folks that have emailed me is that these folks are maybe more into flaming than making a reasonable point that can be discussed "calmly" by more than one side. My point being isn't that exactly what many of you are excusing the government of doing? How could I expect anything didn't from the government if the people here are doing the same partisan approach on a discussion forum? I look at these political forums here and see the exact thing being done in our capital that the writers themselves are complaining about here. How can people ever get to the issues if there is all this built up anger and negatively? Most of what I have said as positive has been bashed and even when I agree their comments I'm bashed, so if that happens to someone like me who is a senior member here, how could I expect any one new with at least a fairly tough skin to say anything? Am I to think that only the loudest in America get heard? That the people who have real issues and a deserving voice as well will never be heard because folks here won't let them? Is there a requirement on how thin or thick a skin must be to voice a care or concern? And if folks here on a what should be a civil forum won't let them, who will? Is it really necessary to have the mods have to step in because mingle members can't help but go on the attack when someone is just trying to make a point? I'm sorry but to me the actions being made here reflect the actions of our government and we have no right to complain about them if we are eating from the same spoon. Someone said earlier that it starts at the top. I totally disagree. It's starts with me and you and is reflected at the elected top. The top was not first, we were. We are the ones hundreds of years ago that said we are the collective and want governed. Small or large, we need representing. If we here bash each other we have already defeated free speech by taking away that right by painting a terrible picture and example of "all people being created equal". There is nothing equal or courageous about attacks, and nothing righteous about silencing the people who desire to be engaged in reasonable debate. Folks you might think your doing something good by putting down people in office but what you are doing is not helping them to do better. Your taking your own frustrations and dumping them on someone else instead of dealing with your own feelings and keeping control of your own words. We say we are helping with the tone of sarcasm and attacks? Sorry I'm an adult. I can swallow the information just fine without the put downs, and that includes the put downs of our elected without them even being here to ask why. This is not constructive, this is the very being of partisanship in the making. "someone doesn't like my way so I'll attack them or make them feel uncomfortable" really? This is winning? This is how you build and construct a nation to loose not win. This is how and why our nation has taken a beating over the last 30 or so years in selfish decline. The less we care about each other the more we will see our leadership fail. It doesn't start at the top it starts with me, and it starts with you. It also starts with the unspoken and silenced. The truly broken don't have fingers to point blame, and the truly committed are far to busy helping them by sticking up for them and feeding each other kindness. I'm sticking to my words "lets be real". Lets get something done for the sake of good and not waste our time and others with anger and bashing. Let me put it another way. If you are the basher, the put down artist, the hater, you are the problem. You don't have to find someone to blame just go to your mirror. Look at your delight in the suffering of others or the destruction your doing to yourself or the others around you. Think of the people who will never speak up, will never have a voice, will never have the courage to reach out for help because of you. The people who need your strentgh but not in negatives, in help. In positive life changing help. A lot of folks pretend to be helpers. They pretend to be good doers, but on the inside (and it comes through on the outside) they have a need to cause discord. Their usually the loudest and their usually the first ones to put down others. Their the first ones to stab you in the back and their the first ones to put down others who are sensitive, caring and devoted. There are those who are leaders and seek the truth as best they can, but many times it's hard to hear them because others born of disruption are shouting. here's a simple test Do you read this post and get upset with these words or do you feel the sincere good and truth of them. They are coming from my heart and not only expressing my wishes but the wishes of some who have a lot to contribute but don't want to be a part of negative anger and unchecked and unnecessary put downs. Here's how far I'm willing to go. If you think I'm not saying these things from the heart and from an American who truly loves this country and respects your views as much as my own. You post here and let me know and I'm gone. I'll deactivate and you won't have to bother with me. If you think your (by bashing) not keeping others from sharing who have valuable opinions just like you, but just don't want to be fired upon over discussing the issues I'm gone. I've put up with gossip, bashing and even the put down of others and if this is the way you feel we make a positive change to our country, life or each other I'll leave. At the same time all I ask is that you stop and think about it. Think about the negative impact that bashing has on others, our country and yourself. How about that, I guess your voting me in or out. |

mg1959...I hope you stick around too...Sometimes I post on another forum. A lot of bickering and "bashing" goes on in the political section of the other forum too. But it is a little bit more balanced...Some people do come together and discuss issues minus all the "heated emotions" and anger and snide remarks etc...I don't think it's a good idea to suppress our anger. But I don't think it's smart or healthy to become a "dragon" and live and breathe anger either...And I don't feel good about myself when I put other people "down" in mean and vicious ways. (Just because they don't happen to agree with me.) I don't want to become a "bully."..We have serious problems in our country today that need to be resolved. We can't afford to act like "little kids" or "bullies" anymore. This is how I feel anyway. Thanks for your posts and all you've shared too.

The American government has allowed me to travel safely to 45 countries and has never shut the door on my right to help others. Many countries have closed doors and the life conditions in those countries are far more oppressive, torturing and killing their own citizens, depriving women of all rights and discouraging business development. Any can shoot blindly from the hip and talk negatively, but this in the face of many of us is counterproductive and shows a fear of sitting down in a reasonable assembly. Talking tough on a forum is far from doing and being. I will stand, live or die by my choices, defend what I perceive as truth and justice, and pray to my last breath for any enemy, foreign or domestic, that I believe (not who I am told) wishes harm to my country or the people in it and of it! I would also lay down my life for those as the hole in my leg would suggest from my business trip to Nicaragua. Not all of us wear a uniform to serve our country. The gov't is part of the country! I mostly agree with the "People pretend to be helpers" part. Anyone can say ANYTHING to make themselves look more charming than even a guinea pig. I wonder sometimes why people can't just let others be? What's the reason/s? I do hope you've never took anything I've said as offence. As I know my joking around can come across as sarcastic at times. That would mean I was only wanting to make people laugh though. I sure wouldn't want to think I've hurt anyone's feelings. You always haveonly nice things to say. If I'm being truly honest too-you're one of the very sweet ones. Just wish people weren't so abbrasive with others. It just helps them degrade themselves more. Anywho, hope you're well :) .

If you have been negative I haven't picked up on it. You've always been cool by me. I don't really read through a ton of stuff on mingle, but as we all do I get these vibes about certain parts of the whole and as politics is always important we are at a historic time in the US and around the world that is either going to do what some think (maybe even wish) "fall apart at the seams" or become the beginning of a more universal way of thinking. Obviously the universal way of thinking will win, but we are the ones to make it go smoothly or through the mud. Some will drag themselves through the mud even after the rest have accepted their responsibility as productive good doers.
Something that I learned in business is that the one out of ten are the loudest, most angered, and sadly most disruptive to good practice. Their the ones who would have a very hard time doing what you are now, asking the question of have I done something to hurt. This shows your true spirit and that you care for the bigger happiness of all. By asking the question your showing your care for others is bigger than your care for yourself. something to be happy about:) |

Wow. Thanks for that :) I don't, however, want people to think that my life has just been a breeze, because it really hasn't. I only seem happy because that's my thought process. I just can't live life in a downbeat mood. Not wanting to bring others down, really. I see animals with innocent faces, and it leaves me wondering why they had an owner that abused them and such. I used to work at an animal shelter you see. I saw a lot of animals in distress. That was the bad part. I just wanted to help give them a better life by bringing them into the shelter. I think if more people were more giving or charitable, it doesn't take much to offer friendly service. It's just sad how this world is so emotionally unstable these days.
