This question made me think of those people who enjoy the beginning stages of dating. They go out on a first date and really hit it off with that person. So the "romance" bug kicks in and it's all fantastic. But then, a month or so down the road, that person wakes up one morning and realizes that they are bored with the relationship. Now. Did they lie to themselves in thinking that this particular relationship was going to be THE relationship? Did they just want to not be alone and figure "Hey! Why not give this a shot"? Or were they acting, and as someone stated are just a cold, heartless tard? Maybe it's all the above. I dunno. Just my random thinking. Lol. |

could someone be romantic yet no caring and vice versa? To be that malnipulative you would have to put in some time. Plus I think you know in your gut if they really care. Carol, I don't understand why you say this. To me it seems obvious that it's possible. I'm not sure it's even manipulative. Some people are great at being romantic, affectionate, all that, but just don't have the capability for true caring. It's a personality defect (IMO) but I don't think it's necessarily intentional, especially with younger people who haven't figured themselves out yet. Caring but not romantic is also highly possible, in my book. Thank you Dr. Brava... If you are not genuine then you are a fake, a liar, a manipulator. If you are real but change on an emotional whim, then you have no integrity. If you are real and change over time then you have grown (either positively or negatively). The heart can change over time and the head can change over time. It is the reason for the change that makes you real or fake. (I hope I explained that well enough) |

A romantic gesture is more genuine if it is based on your partner's knowledge of you and your likes and dislikes. Buying your other half red roses isn't romantic if you've told him that roses are your least favourite flowers and he buys them anyway. |
