I knew three women with jobs: my mom who was a writer, my best friend's mother who was a seamstress, and the mail carrier.

I really wanted to be a mail carrier because I loved the written word. I thought it was so cool that she could deliver little pieces of paper with this magic code on it that held entire conversations. I ended up being an assistant and for awhile, a freelance published writer. |

Garbageman. I used to get up in the morning and watch them come pick up the trash. I used to keep all my toys in trash bags. My cousin would come over and ask what I wanted to play with, my response would be, "Garbage!". I even had a toy garbage truck.

I couldn't decide between a garbageman (to sit high up inna twuck), or a nuclear physicist (fascinated by atomic physics as a kid). Over the years, my ambitions changed, but I still haven't decided on a career...I guess we'll just have to wait until I grow up to see what I become.

I always dreamed of being myself. I think I'm finally on the verge of achieving my lifelong ambition.
