Steve Harvey's comments on Religion. This guy is clueless. Most would be offended, but I laugh at the ignorance of this buffoon.

Well now, I think your being a bit hasty.

He states numerous times that this is just him talking. It's his opinion. Does this mean that anyone who believe differently than you is a buffoon? An idiot? That's a real shame.

I tend to believe pretty closely to what steve harvey says here, I would have liked to see the whole interview!

I just think comedians should stick with comedy. Why is Steve Harvey writing books on relationships? He is on his third wife got a bunch of kids with all of them. Why do people take advice on marriage from a man who is unable to stabilize his marriage lol?

I dont think people should feel obligated to stay in a box. He is more than JUST a comedian, he has been a host, an actor, and an author. Life experience gives all of us the ability to reach out to others.

He has had several failures, and that may be why he can spot the signs of such failures and warn others,,,

I couldn't open the link so I look for it. I found one where he was saying- he can't believe this all came from a ball of gas and then the clip showed how a star is formed (from a ball of gas); then he said he can't believe we evolved from chimps, then the clip showed that that is not what evolution says, only that we have common ancestors. Then he said if you don't believe in g-d, where is your morality, then the clip showed modern non-religious people. I would have asked him to explain the ethics and morality of the pagan philosophers.

So I would agree that he is ignorant of science and philosophy and probably a lot more. However, in understanding his private life, he probably needs his faith to hold himself together, kinda like a sugar pill.

You are right.. scriptures say a deacon or elder has to basically yhave a good family relationship or thier not fit fot the job.

as far as comedians..George Carlin in lot of his acts made fun of religion giving advice about how could people ve so stupid to believe thier aa man in the sky looking down on us.. and alot more so he was giving his opinion/advice.. he's a comedian he can say whatever he wants for his act

nice point miles

comedians have opinions about things all the time in their act, why would their life be any different?

14 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? 15 What accord has Christ with Belial?[a] Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? 16 What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said,

“I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them,
and I will be their God,
and they shall be my people.
17 Therefore go out from their midst,
and be separate from them, says the Lord,

calling people fools was unnecessary, but in terms of building a relationship , the bible does teach not to be unequally yoked,,,

Said the man who went all the way to Chicago to hook up with the woman. He was cheating on his wife with (Marjorie), and even when his wife found that, she still stayed with him so she could be close to her son Wynton, who he incidentally got full custody of and won't allow her to see.
Great Steve, what a nice moral barometer he has.
