I know I am kicking a hornet's nest here but damn it I come with bug spray!

With the Quran aside one of the biggest problems I have with Islam is its misogyny. First of all women are degenerated to worst than second class. They are property. I am not going to invoke chapter and verse of the Quran. I have read it and I bet a lot of people think they read it. Well I am going to argue outside of the box.

The idea a woman must cover herself is not just an Islamic thing. There are cultures that have at one time practiced it. In Victorian England Queen Victoria felt the human body was a filthy thing and should be covered except for the hands and face. She herself was very aesthetically challenged. There were women in the English court that made her feel bad about herself. Misery loves company and for almost 20 years you could not even see ankle without people freaking out. But Islam takes this one step further. This does not put a woman on a level play field at all with men.

It seems that a lot of what Islam concerns itself with is Adultery Issues with women. It seems that in most cases of sexual congress the women is an adulteress even when raped. Likewise a lot of blame for the sins of man are heaped on the Abrahamic notion that woman ate first of the tree and deceived man into eating it next caused us to loose grace with god. And in this they take to heart the notion that woman must be an obedient servant of man like a dray animal.

Another issue that spills into this is Art. MOST ART AND MOST MUSIC is viewed as some form of Idolatry and considered evil. Only beauty that gratifies ISLAM (And supposedly Allah) and displays the grandeur of Islam is tolerated. Mosques not only are a form of Idolatry but a blasphemy against their own beliefs. They are never humble structures. But where a lot of art and music is banned so do they attempt to place their dominion upon God's handiwork and bend it to suit them. They likewise would dare cover the craftsmanship of God's hand by denying us to see the female form, OUR OTHER HALF AS A PEOPLE AND SPECIES LIKE THEY ARE SOME KIND OF EMBARRASSMENT TO THE REST OF THE WORLD! It isn't about he risks to them over infidelity. This is ignorance. This is trying to protect men from being themselves. This takes away self control and likewise strips people of their personal responsibility. If a man cannot look at a woman in a bikini and not keep it in his pants he has a problem that may take a stiff thrashing to get it in his head to behave.

How Islam can say it respects women and gives them CRAPPY legal representations, prevents them from having careers, educations, and futures for themselves especially should they choose to live a life of their own choosing. There is no respect for women in Islam. NONE! And this is coming from a man who read the words of a rather demented and hate fill bastard! the idea that in order to have a virgin bride was to take a GIRL'S VIRGINITY AT NINE YEARS OLD IS SICK! If I took a nine year old I would be amazed if she SURVIVED without prompt medial treatment just based on the scale of size between me and a nine year old girl! IT IS JUST SICK AND TOUGH FOR ME TO FATHOM HOW ANY SELF RESPECTING WOMAN COULD EVEN LEND SUPPORT TO THIS VILE FAITH!

Now bear in mind there are Christians who live by the same misguided ideas women are subservient to men but not to the degree Islam takes it.

Seriously, do we paint overt the back side of coins because the image is offensive to only a hand full of people? GOD MADE MAN AND GOD MADE WOMAN! So why is it right to cover up God's handiwork? Because God made man Horney but man has to learn to behave himself?

Organized religions are such a joke! Some of them are worst than others! Some of my jokes are down right terrible. But Islam, that is a seriously bad joke. One with no humor in it.

i couldn't help but agree with u more andy, islamic is nothing but a misleading religion. a religion that preaches hate and unforgiveness, a religion form out of idol worshiping. how can tell me that the same God that said in the bible thou shall not kill... is also the same God that tells u that killing your enemy is a righteous kill? God sends jesus into this world to save us from sin because of the love he has for us, and i know that God wants everybody to have a second chance... not matter how bad your deeds are.

I think the blame so often placed on a religion is a smokescreen to avoid looking deeper into the flesh and the human desire to have what it wants when it wants it, and to sacrifice others to get it

in every religion there are texts which are , at best, controversial
there are words which some use to justify harm to others, just as slaveowners onced used the bible to justify owning slaves

or as some brutes still use to belittle and abuse their wives,, daughters

but in every religion, there is also text which teaches peace and love,, even in the islamic religion


so I dont fault islam or christianity for what some muslims and christians do,, I blame those human beings who choose the interpretation of a holy book which suits their most evil desires,,,,to justify their behaviors and words
