the CHRONICALLY unemployed?
I read a lot of other forums and I find, the Liberal consensus seem to be they never will and they will take full advantage. Where is the incentive to get those who have been retired on unemployment back to really looking for work? My Mama told me once, and she was speaking to me. If I wanted a job, they are out there. Why was I sitting on my a$$ during the weekend instead of out hustling for a job? Again? Where is the push to get them back out there? |

what type of push do you propose?
and how long are these extensions that are chronic? surely not in ohio or nevada,,,, |
|
|
|
where are the incentives for businesses to HIRE some of these people,,,,

businesses like walmart wont hire people who could potentially leave as soon as the economy picks up and people with higher education are needed. I applied there too. I was under employed for over a year. I was able to collect unemployment all that time only by proving I was indeed continually looking for work. Its a requirement of collecting. I consider myself extremely lucky to have a better paying job now than what I had before. My benefits would have run out by a certain date. Its not a forever gig. exactly... I am expecting my 'luck' to change soon,asI continue to seek and apply for work, and I will feel fortunate when it does |

That works very well for those actually out seeking a job. |

This is pretty pathetic..
Obama stimulus awarded Nevada $2,899,520,000.. $1,850,600,000 was received.. Wait for it.. Wait for it... and it created or saved.... now get this... 751 jobs... Now I see why it is so difficult to get a job in Nevada.. They cost $2,464,181 to create or save.. http://www.recovery.gov/Pages/default.aspx |

We don't have extensions here for unemployment unless there is an extreme circumstance like the jobs offered are less than what unemployment is paying.Unemployment pays crappy here as it is no longer 70% of your pay. The did a flat rate of $1600.00 a month and no one can live off that here. |

Times are tough but it's better than living on the street. You do what you have to do. Oh, and I have never received unemployment or welfare. |

Yep; whe I lost my job; I had to cut back on things big time. Even now having a low paying job; I still cut back on things; even meals. I usually skip supper 3 to 5 times a week; keep the heat on the lowest setting, go to second hand stores for clothing, and bike to work to save on gas. Hopefully after next week; I will have a better paying job. |
