it could be that he really does love you but for whatever reason is having problems expressing it. but if he can't then you must move on or be forever stuck with him - his problem becoming yours as well....

this is sad as there is unrealized potential - but life is full of bizarre and ironic situations. personally if i were in a similar situation - i would be open about actively dating and seeking a special someone who could be there for me too. but if they were a good person just with a problem i might not cut them completely out of my circle of friends....

Artist, I agree with Angelsing, and feel it would be best to start distancing yourself. See if it affects him enough to change his stripes, but don't hold your breath. I know it will be hard, but realize that you deserve better treatment from the man in your life. Good luck!!

Read the Mars & Venus book, might give some insight in differences of how men & women think; I found it very helpful.
If a situation is not what you want & you can't get straight answers, might be best to force the issue.
