It's more about maturity than age. I tend to go for older women due to the maturity level, but I fell in love with a woman my age and she's on the same maturity level as me, so it works perfect.

If she was from North America, esp. from the USA, she probably meant "money" when she meant "heart". Here almost everythign can be translated directly into money. I mean, everything, not just almost everything. Here money is not a tool of trade, but measure of every and all qualities for their goodness.

So she probably meant "money" for "love" as well. Not impossible.

"Younger people" meant in her text "younger money", and "older people" meant "old money".

"Old money" is more distinguished sounding. You see, to get money, you have to be successfull, and to attain success (money) you must be a scoundrel. If you become rich today, or you became rich yesterday, everybody who wants to can learn your scam. If your family become rich and influential some centuries ago, then their scam has been long frogotten, and it's been dressed up into words of honour so many times, that even its own mother would have doubts it's her own scam, and everyone buys that this old money family is very honourable. And that their money is too.

I don't see what being younger or older has to do with having feeligs for someone. Younger guys always want to date me more than older men. They think of me as staying youthful and positive about life, or that's what they tell me. Not that I have any problem with it. Just don't label me a cougar. As it's normally them doing the chasing. . So no, I see nothing wrong with younger guys.

No age and years of experience can't define something that's in all of us. Even the evil ones.

Love is not reserved for the older generation. Anyone at or above the age for marriage, which is 18 in the UK, should be mature enough to form a loving relationship.
Whether they want to form a serious loving relationship at that age is probably doubtful, since the average age for marrige in the UK is close to 30 according to the Office for National Statistics. It may of course be different in other countries.
