I feel I should send her one right back, telling her she ain't bad looking herself? . I thought it was rather sweet of her. Even just friends can be enough to put a smile on your face at times.

perhaps the issue is that we keep 'looking' perhaps learning to be 'in love' with ourself and what we have is the key to attracting to us those who might be able to fall in love with US?

It's almost impossible to meet someone :( I think you will find most people here will agree with that statement but I am sure it has nothing to do with being straight. Just the way things are. I hope you do find someone soon.

Technically, being bi should automatically double your chances for a date. But if your mind set is all about finding the One, then you are in for a long lonely haul. Try just making friends and you will find that while you are hanging out with one, you start to really like him/her and go from there. Not that I don't believe in love at first sight (yes I'm certain that it happens all the time), but life isn't always a movie or love song with a happy ending.
