In truth, we reached that point when "party" politics was adopted and the 2 parties (money/Republicans, and power/Democrats) decided they would make the rules, control DC, buy all positions of power within gov't, thereby deminishing the chances of ever being opposed or challenged by a party "of the people". The corruption is obvious within that system, it has done nothing to better this country regardless which was in power, yet the people will continue to hold their noses and vote for one bought and paid for tyrant puppet or the other believing there is no choice.... The "sales and propaganda box" with all its shyster sales and pitch personnel has done its work well!

Then why not vote for someone else, anyone else? My vote is for Jill Stein, but the fact is, the more votes that leave the two parties the quicker this sameness of the two parties will change.

No, you said it is a big country, it has survived and evolved through generations and will continue to do so America is absurdly corrupt, and unless we stand up and remove this corruption America is doomed to fall. History has shown us time and time again, civilizations grow big, then they become corrupt, and thusly fail, every time. Trust me, we will not continue to survive if we continue down this road.

Trust me, we will not continue to survive if we continue down this road. of course we wont survive indefinitely no matter WHAT we do,, we are human and will always be 'run' by humans whether the label is government or corporation but we will continue to change and evolve until then and I dont see anything so dire as to indicate that time is anywhere near close
