Topic: Finding a Post | |

I ought to know how to do this, because I'm sure I did it before. But how do I find a specific post? Either my own or someone else's. I don't know what forum it was in, that's the problem.

Do you remember the subject title?

I thought I did, but when I went to that thread it wasn't the right one.
Shouldn't I be able to find my own posts easily? Especially since this was the last one I just made. Memories . . . I wish I had them. |

I know all about memories. I have what they call old timers disease.

Yes, thank you totage, that does work. But I thought there was also a way to find my posts right from my home page?

if it is an older post, you're best bet is to click on your post number. on the upper right hand corner is the date of the post. if you can remember the day more or less you can skip pages by changing the page number in the address bar of your browser. on mingle you are only offered 25 pages, but if you have a lot of posts, you will have more than 25 pages of old posts
if it's someone else's post, you can find it the same way under their old posts. or if they posted in a thread you posted on, you find one of your posts and then click on the topic title that appears on your old post. it will take you back to that old thread, and you can look through all the old posts finally, you could message a friend and ask if they remember. eileena9 and soufie have helped me several times to find old stuff. the only thing is that if it was on one of the i&s threads, you are out of luck. the sex threads are only visible to mods now |

For instance, you could make the final digits in the address bar=500, to see back 500 pages worth of posts. Depending upon your first post date, it could go back 1000+ pages. |
