why then whenever i get a view on my profile they are all in either nigeria or hong kong? I live in friekin the USA in a small state and in a small ... city.. why on earth are there quacks checking me out a million miles away!? come on dude, you've been on this site for 4 years, you know what's going on.

I'm glad this site isn't limited to just people in the US, it'd get very boring just talking to people from my own country.

You can get scammed from people in any country, I don't see why anyone who you havent met would expect you to give them money. Also if anyone tells you they love you in the first couple of emails, thats a pretty good sign. Just watch for signs, Oh and I am from Australia, and live in a big state in a country town and would you believe that americans message me and some of them where scammers

Hey, thats not nice. I'm a Nigerian and i'm not here to cheat anyone of his money. I work hard for a good pay, so please watch how you generalize issues so you dont hurt people's emotions. I'm proud of where i come from no matter what you think. Some people think most scams come from Africa, when in fact the majority of them are actually from U.S. based rings. Funny how people will grab a bit from a story or think they heard something and run with it. Like the definition of a hacker and how the media makes it seem like something it is not, due to ignorance and trying to make not so interesting stories seem more interesting.

I think its really dumb and stupid giving money to someone you've never met before. Maybe you were promised something and your greed got the better of you. Thats what i think though..

there should be an american site, whereas we can stay within the boundries of what we want and not have to deal with those who do not interest us. duh, get it togther mingles,,, That was quite rude. Anyway, idk why those other countries in particular like to spam. Can't you block those countries? Actually, they were big with spam and scams due to poverty and lack of jobs and such. Most spam actually comes from the U.S. Canada, and Europe though. That's true! I spam these threads like nobodys business!

If you don't want to get scammed, then use your brain.

i totally do not see any sense in this your post.. What do you mean by quacks? So anyone outside america is now considered a quack.. Get sense abeg. Ya, i also did check out your profile weeks back, but thats cause of the food you gave its recipe and i thought to check out the guy who can cook.. Does that make me quack also? Is this site meant only for americans? If you dont want non americans looking then GTHO and look for sites with only americans..

The articles are part of a scam warning published on an international site I frequent - quite a big operation - not that there aren't scammers elsewhere but the African scams were for real and just because someone is greedy, foolish or niaeve does not mean it's OK to scam them OR that they deserve to be scammed. this is faulty thinking. as a scammer you would still be responsible for your own actions (hypothetically - I am not saying anyone in this thread is a scammer)
