yeah, I hate these spammers. I got a letter from a nice, honest-sounding, very black lady from Nigeria, her mom was dying of AIDS, she was 19 I think (the girl, not the mom), and she had been starved by her government in a work camp for Communist youth, as a volunteer, because it gave her good points to get into university. She does not want to go to college, she says. She hates school. She wants to come to America, to the land of freedom and limitless opportunities. She says her life's calling is in America, as a public prostitute, but she can't afford the airfare or the counterfeit passport and green card.

So I was getting enthusiastic about her, what with her courage and willingness to make a life on her own, away from home, in a strange land.

I sent her therefore a cheque for $356.23, all the money that was unused in my Visa, and when I saw the back of my cheque returned, by the bank, I saw it was cashed in Dalingdale, ON, a town 7 miles from where I live. I did some more investigating, and it turned out the girl was not from Africa, her mom did not have AIDS, not even the whoopin' caugh; the girl, she did not aspire to be a prostitute in the Brave New and Free world, but instead she was my slimy next door neighbour, a film producer, who walks around all day long in her dressing gown and drinks like frish, starting at 8 a.m. in the morning, or whenever she wakes up, and yet never looks drunk or inabriated. She just looks gross and revolting, that's about all that she's capable of.

I agree. We too often form too easily two damaging opinions of people.

I, for instance, am white, short, old, and fat, and therefore people assume I am an azzole. That is not true, actually. I am, instead and in reality, a so-called kannt. But I learned to roll with the punches, and now I just drop everything and scream at people at the top of my lungs when they publically accuse me of shoplifting in their shop.

I even learned to avoid uttering expletives in my loud tirades. That's against the law here.

I sort of agree. Americans are extremely single-minded, boring people. They live in a narrow world, their path in life is straight and narrow, and they frown at excesses. Americans are too quiet, too inwardly-turning, too much engrossed in the Bible to be any real fun. If one wants to have any sort of exciting life, he must buy drugs on the street and rob banks to support his habit, to have any sort of decent invigoration that will wake him up, and help him escape from the boring, boring, boring life of Americans, away from from the maddignly boring crowds.

I agree!! Around me a lot of peole think they are much better than I, only because they live in the same town as I do, and they see me in the same mall as where they shop. A lot of the times, like you say, and like in my case here, a superiority complex in the minds of others hinges on not much more than just a location of geographic design.
