Have you ever tried actually talking to your mutual matches on mingle or other dating sites or do you just browse pics and pick out your own? Do you think it really works, the matching up similarities and pairing you up with the opposite sex?

Hmmm I thought it was just when you clicked on someone and then they did the same. to say that you both liked each other

There's another site I've used for dating that has a matching system. I've met some people that way. Mutual match is different, though, as you choose who to pick.

It is? So it doesn't like calculate your mutual interests and location or anything? If I click a guy as a yes and they do the same it's a mutual match then? I'm confused how it works.

yep thats pretty much how I figured it worked. when I first came on here, my children sat and clicked all the mutual matches that they liked. my 14 year old daughter clicked all the men with muscles, and my 15 year old son clicked all the men that looked like they would let him do what he likednoway . Then they had to click as well.

No, heck, I Have a hard time getting men to email me period, lol. I guess it could work, it would be up to the people matched, if they are really interested in chatting and seeing what happens.

A mutual match has never contacted me. In fact, the last one I got deactivated as soon as he matched with me. laugh

Yeah, most are either new and don't know how to use it, unresponsive, or not serious, rarely will it actually work as intended, even then it has failed.

I remember getting 3 of those when I first signed up here. I'm guessing mine were all married.

I'm pretty sure that's how it works. I don't think there's any calculations involved in mutual match.

The whole favorites thing is weird to me. No one who has added me as a favorite has ever contacted me.

I;m almost 100% sure MM is selected by the system based on a member's search preference but people can add themself to another's mutual match list, though, by clicking "Match with him/her", as well

When I've looked at mutual match, it didn't seem to follow any sort of preferences. Most were kind of in the area, but not always. Some were kind of in my preferred age range, but again, not always.

Those that don't fit your search criteria, more than likely, manually selected to match with you.

Either way, it doesn't only use our preferences. That's mostly why I stopped using it.

You are right...as I said before, some people manually click to match. The system pulls from the search preferences though
