From Africa all through to America, politicians are all tainted one way or the other by corruption! Why are they mostly prone to being light fingered?

with power comes sacrifice

some sacrifice themself, some sacrifice others

thats the nature of how humans treat each other

light-fin·gered adj.
1. Having quick and nimble fingers.
2. Skilled at or given to petty thievery.

Good topic... I do not have a good answer. As far as taking money from the hard working people to proffit them selves is lightfingeredness in a very bad way. As far as using the money for propper health care and other services that are needed for the masses... that would be a good thing to be lightfingered with.

Because. One reason is people who are genuinely interested in politics have a serious pride issue. With pride comes greed. They are attention seekers. Whether they pretend to want good things for the people or not they really just want acknowledgement. They HAVE to feel needed and important. By taking such bold stands they get their attention. Like a teenager with pink hair, they are not necessarily a bad child, but they are seeking that attention and acknowledgement from anyone. politicians have pride (issues) and pride bring courage and power as does money. In the end it's about serving themselves, NOT the people. It's both sad and sick.

In fact, I don't agree at all that all are corrupt. I grant you that it's easy for it to happen. Power goes to the head quickly. But there are those who have the integrity to resist it. You may say they are the exceptions, but actually I'm not even willing to grant that unless you give me statistics. We also have to remember that politicians are just people who have the spotlight on them all the time and who tend to have public, powerful enemies. I'm not convinced they are really any worse than any ordinary person would be who found themself in the same situation. In general. Certainly there are plenty of exceptions. But let's not confuse TV reporting with reality.
