When I was younger (and unaware of the hazzards) I got picked up by a limo while hitchhiking to the beach.
Another time violently rolled in a truck into oncoming traffic, was thrown from the vehicle, landed on me arse on the street. I got up, brushed myself off, and had literally skinned my knee. This was from hitting it on the glove box (while upside down). No one else was seriously injured either. Any stories? |

Until recently I was as consistent as I am now with my seat belt wearing habits. I am taking things a whole lot more seriously and buckling up all the time now, ever since the Governor of NJ almost lost his life in a recent car accident because he was not buckled up.

  I always buckle up.....but this was a 59 Ford truck which was being rebuilt. I was perhaps lucky because I DIDN'T buckle up...strange.
I'm also looking for stories of...well (ie) I have a friend who was walking into Irvine Meadows (concert venue), got mixed up with the catering people, and ended up backstage at Lolapalooza. ANYTHING just "weird". |

Did you guys see the bridge collapse in Minnesota? Im from there and was not too far away when it happened!! Crazy! Have been on that bridge many times.

That is strange in itself....only 6 people killed and it was 8 lanes of rush hour traffic...That's a miracle!!!!!!

YES!! I saw an interview with someone who said as they were leaving, they had to go back for some paperwork. They were just behind a car that actually fell.
They are convinced that....that 1.5 minutes saved their life. |

I stand corrected...there are only 6 confirmed dead so far, because rescue efforts have been hampered due to safety concerns. There are still 20-30 people missing!!!!!!!!

They down graded it to 4 people killed this AM. But they know there are at least 50-60 cars underwater, so death count will rise by days end!! Bad ass deal!
