The time has arrived where people are waking up and the voices of the propaganda mill and the politicians drone on so repetitive that no one listens anymore.

The dumbed down T.V. public are distracted with movies, sports and Hollywood gossip and occasionally they watch the news so they can be told how to think and feel about world affairs.

But more and more people are turning to the Internet because they can't extract real news from the Major Media outlets anymore.

Lies don't sit well with human psyche. They don't sink in or make contact with the depths of our minds because something stops them. They float on the surface of our consciousness like the shaft floats on the surface of the water as the grain sinks to the bottom.

The truth rings.

I skim a lot of youtube videos and I like people who just get to the point and say what they want to say or show the video of what they want to show.

I don't like long winded speakers, big productions with music and long boring introductions etc. I lose patience with that crap.

They act as if they have a captive audience or something LOL...nope
click and I am on to something more interesting and more informative.

And more real. There is so much hype and stupid stuff... but that is the nature of the beast.

Now videos are getting increasingly long.... and youtube has full length movies and documentaries like Netflix.

Is Youtube a reliable source for news or just entertainment? what

You really have to ask?

Youtube, like public forums, is one of the best examples of a freedom of speech and freedom of expression.

I have watched two hour long documentaries, and interviews with David Rockefeller, news shows, radio shows, and people's pet videos on youtube.

It is the entire world having their say. I think its great.

No it's not. It's heavily censored. Google is heavily influenced by government as well.

I am actually glad that a lot of people don't respect youtube for getting news. (They just don't know where to look.)

To say that youtube is not a good source for information is as silly as saying that the Internet is not a good source for information or that wikipedia is not a good source for information and news, or yahoo or google, etc.

And yet everyone who wants to find out anything goes to the Internet to find it.

there are newspapers and tabloids

we usually expect more credible information from the newspaper we read than from the tabloid, although they are the same medium

I expect more credible 'news' from abc nightly news than from the daily show, although they are the same medium

the medium in which information is delivered has little to do with the source using the medium, and some sources are more credible based upon things like whether they are

A. recognizable
B. open to legal action for false accusation or information
C. delivering the information as their SOURCE of income rather than just for kicks

Youtube posters dont fit any of the above in the majority of cases the way that legit 'news' sources do

youtube posters can post whatever they wish with anonymity whereas the 'news' is held to much more scrutiny and liability and risks losing SPONSORS based upon losing VIEWERS

if my teen son and his cousins and friends can post there, IM sure 'credibility' has nothing to do with the site in the way that a source with 'credentials' attached would

Conspiracy theorists are the only people who have the brains to ask questions and question authority.

The rest of the population are what are called "sheeple."

Most CT proponents are what we call idiots. They usually know nothing about the topic and believe the worst of the youtube garbage.

They try to censor it with copyright claims, but I don't think you can prove that Youtube is censored. If so, give some examples.

Name calling is your only defense against free speech.

And of course this is just your opinion. I;m sure some of the people/sheeple appreciate it.

Youtube rocks!

I get to see politicians contradicting themselves and lying public, that I missed on the main stream media.

I get to see tons of UF0 sightings, (real ones) as the government keep denying and denying they exist.

I get to hear people's opinions on everything imaginable.

I get to see documentaries and movies and cute pictures of pets.

Anything I want.

I get to see my favorite singers singing my favorite signs.

On television, all I see is a advertisements and propaganda.

However today on CNN channel 40 there was a pretty good program that was really slamming J.P. Morgan, banks, and corruption. It was not bad.

I noticed you have nothing of value to discount my original post apart from redneck ad hominem. But then, that's all you've got, I suppose.

On the subject of youtube, they may be trying to make it illegal in Japan.

Tech savvy people are understandably alarmed by this news. Some have suggested that the mere act of watching a YouTube video that contains copyrighted content could get you arrested.

However, as YouTube vlogger Victor (Gimmeaflakeman) explains, the reports about YouTube are exaggerated and sensationalized:

We'll see...huh
