America, America

Man sheds his waste on thee

And hides the hills with billboard signs

From sea to shining sea

If you have thankfulness to Almighty God for YOUR country's independence or Blessings, feel free to express it.

The Lord is not partial to the USA per se.

4th of July is a day in which most of us here are grateful
for the founding of our Nation
and our Biblically based values.

There will always be those here who wish for social change
and will accept whatever changes offered just to spite their slightest dislikings.

In other words, there are those who will "throw out the baby, with the bathwater" just for their personal longings.

There will alway be ungrateful people!

But to Christians everywhere, even those in New Zealand,
we are reminded by Apostle Paul to think of the excellence of God's provisions:

Philippians 4:4-8

4, "Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

5, Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

6, Be careful for nothing;
but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7, And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

8, Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just,
whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report;
if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."

Thank you Cerise Rose. I really enjoy learning about different cultures and their religions and traditions. I may at some stage do a thread on 'New Zealand' or 'Introduce your country.' flowerforyou :heart: :heart: :heart: flowerforyou

You're welcome, Ladywind7!

That sounds interesting!

Many Nations are experiencing drastic economic and social changes.

Some are witnessing persecution...and they need our prayers.

The Grace of God is their only hope.

Exactly!

Yet, everywhere freedom is threatened!

But...

"If the Son therefore shall make you free,
ye shall be free indeed."
