I was gonna' suggest you take your instrument to a public place and do some playing and singing.
Then, I see, you play the piano. All good things come with hard work, time and a little luck. Best to ya', young lady. |

anyone want to be my roadie? Thanks I can do you a laser show . you will have too fly me out to the usa though,i'm in the uk. iv'e worked in the industry for over 22years,i can tell you this.Work hard at it,take any opertunity to perform payed or not.keep grounded and don't dream of stardom.Iv'e seen too many people think of fame and forgett how to learn their trade. actually an old friend of mine is back here in the uk for a few months holiday, she lives in the states and is a sound engineer,i will have a chat with her when i see her . see if she can point you in the right direction. see everyting is about right place right time. good luck, cutie. |

classical music totally doesn't need a light show but musicians need a strong support system

so through my short time on this earth i've only known to go into music. my biggest issue is i settled on just going to school to teach it. my true dream is to perform. i've always been told i'm not good enough by my peers. Go for it. If you don't at least try it you'll always wonder what if! Seriously, life is too short |

Who has your demo, and what are they doing with it? Do you have friends in the music biz? There are people who get discovered but most of the time it is about how much energy you have to throw into it, and what you are willing to do to get to the place where you are noticed. You are a product, and that means either someone has to be marketing you or you have to know how to market yourself. I've seen people become known by who they know and others who stood on street corners playing till someone came along, but in both cases it's the person who never stops pushing or playing that gets the chance to be a performer. There are also people who write for others but those folks usually have to be in the same place where the musicians are. There are so many aspects to becoming a music biz person and learning which one of these personalities suits you means it is almost imperative that you jump in with both feet to find out where or if you fit. Do you have a youtube vid? Or something that points people to you? Do you live in a music city? Many people get jobs in one of the music cities and take jobs that gets them in front of the right people. Who are your peers? If your current peers are those who have not got a music career than are they really your peers? In the music biz your peers are people who are on the inside and the only way you will find out who they are is to get on the inside with them. Most importantly, remember who you are. If your a full time musician than that's what you are and that is what you must do. Good or bad, rich or poor, if you are? Play always! |

I can actually relate...
I do some drawing..EVERYONE told me to pursue it. I only do what I know I am supposed to do. So, I ignored what people say too. If you wanna expand your music....hit a Best Buy or pawn shop (haggle em down)..and pick up a keyboard and a stand. Then hit some public places or events. No one will be able to appreieate your talent if you are only bada$$ in your house. Exposure helps. I you are a purist who only plays an actual piano..remember...it is a pain to move a damned piano. If you can kick @$$ on a synthesizer...your possibilites are endless. |

Great! Well if you know how to push your music than you are already there. Most of my friends would say that was the hardest part for them.
