Is it just me that finds it a little creepy that just anyone that wants to can click on your posts and read everything you have ever posted. Is that a women thing? I dont do it because I think it is invasive.

I haven't found out how to do that yet. But no, anything I write is fair game. It's just it would be disjointed and out of context reading it that way.

Hey, how are you?

I believe you can only go back so many pages. But I don't see a problem, since if someone really wants to snoop or stalk your posts they can just do the footwork and scour the forums, it would only be a bit more time consuming I am sure.
Everything we post here is for everyone to see and read, so if someone wants to read it all randomly, or in one long rap-sheet as it were, makes no difference to me. Good luck on the surgery Hippie! |

No, it doesn't bother me. If I didn't want someone to read what I've written, I wouldn't have written it to begin with.

It's a public forum. Anything you write at any time is for the whole world to see. Marking all your posts makes it easier for someone to get to know you by seeing what you write. This is, after all, a dating site.

Hey now, I fell in LOVE reading someone's old posts :-) To SEE someones old posts: http://mingle2.com/forum/show_posts_by_user/?????? Enter their member# for the ????'s. (Right-clicking on their username will render that # (dropdown menu, click 'Properties' which produces it..at the tail end.) Clicking on the 'Posts #' beneath anyone's picture in the forums also takes you to their first 25 pages of past posts. To see past 25 pages, simply change the page number in your Search box (change 'Page 25' to 'Page 26', or 'Page 500'.) Some people here a while have a LOT of pages :-) It is a wonderful tool, to be able to see someone's opinion on just about everything. VERY telling. And consistent, over time. I RUV it! |

I haven't looked yet but think this is pretty funny. I've come up here with moods the Biz world has never seen and was thinking how much I would get picked on if some went through the pages. Especially back in the beginning when I was pretty green.
What would really be interesting is some of the emails. Could you imagine how many gossips would be busted!! OMG that would be a hoot! I think if I were to do a behind the scenes thing here it would be "gossip busters". I got hit with gossip after about a week on JSH. OH my lord you could start a soap! And think about it, Mingle is a friendly site. Couldn't even imagine what goes on other places. But, I also think that this is maybe a reflection of real life and there is as much energy that goes on behind the scenes as opposed to what we see as real face to face. For me I think it's kinda cool to be able to go back and see how much I have changed or evolved as an on-line person. Don't think I would be as interested to look at others posts as I would be to busy laughing at myself. |

How is it your answers, when you are not being facetious, are always so spot on? Do you take 'wisdom pills' daily or something?

Ok then. I am just going to have to get over it and live with it, after all this is cyberspace. Sometimes I just feel like a fish in a fish bowl, lol.

I dont do it because I think it is invasive. That's the nature of the internet. Everything you post in a PUBLIC forum such as Mingle2 is open to everyone. That's why there are rules against posting personal information. You know how many bots are crawling around, collecting pieces of your information to sell? You think it's creepy enough for REAL people to do it, think about how the bots are crawling around, pretending to be humans. In fact, some are so sophisticated, they can crack CAPTCHA images, which is why they are so hard to read now. |

Can someone be both? |

What are bots? Programs and scripts that crawl the internet and do other automated tasks, like robots. Many are good, some are malicious. |
