Topic: ~what do you do for an impromptu dessert...

this is what i did the other night.... sautee sliced bananas in a little bit of butter, sprinkle with cinnamon,crushed pecans and coconut til everything has a little color..serve straight from the pan over vanilla ice cream then drizzle with maple syrup....everyone said they loved it.. teasingbrunette

Sounds good. I like to keep some good (65% cacao) in the cuboard and then I am able to whip up some yummy Lava Cakes in a pinch. I got the recipe from my fav online chef. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGgwdacErks

in a pinch....mix up a chocolate cake mix and pour in a cookie sheet. Sprinkle the top with whatever toppings you have on hand like, chocolate chips, pecans, caramel chips, M & M's . etc. . Bake. Remove from oven and while still warm you can add mini marshmallows or toffee bits. Let cool and cut into bars. Great for when I remember at the last minute I am supposed to bring a dish to pass......
