noway I would not have held the thing, it would be like holding a time bomb, I'd just be waiting for someone to shoot me or blow me up, I'm not sure why else they would give it to me.

chance? luck? karma? just happened to be the nicest looking woman around? you looked honest enough to give it back?

take yer pick.. gawd only knows why some people do the things they do these day huh.. ohwell

I would probably ask the stranger why they needed me to hold it frist. And get a name and contact information after all it is 5 million. When they didn't show back up I would try to co.tact them. if I was unable to I would turn the money In to the police with what I.formation I had. if Ilegally got the mo
st back. :) ID BUY ME A CAR !!!! and go on vacation to my favorite spot on Florida. :)

okay then.. let's just say they kinda shoved it in your hands and took off really fast.. no time for details.. NOW what?

what would you do if a stranger, out of the blue, handed you a closed briefcase (not locked), told you there was over 5 million dollars in it and asked you to hold onto it for a minute, but never came back for it? huh

I don't know how often this happens to other people, but it hasn't happened to me yet.

OP, you're right, we should make contingency plans for every possible event that can potentially occur in our lives.

So... how would you act differently from this situation if there were four million in the briefcase? Ten trillion? Seven dollars?

the amount doesn't matter really.. it's obviously a hypothetical question.. if I asked for a show of hands on who this has happened to yet.. I'm sure NONE of us has had that 'problem' to deal with! YET! bigsmile

I'd replace it with whatever gold was available at the time. Should he return, he'd thank me later.

I think the amount does matter. If it's seven dollars, who's going to care?

two words............... permanent vacation!

Given the inflation rate, including this year's hyper-inflation rate, you would be surprised how short of a vacation permanent is.
