Topic: To many excuses

I been on this site for sometime now and I have seen to many topics about finding the right one,our soul mate etc etc.

The funny thing is it's usually the ones that don't have nothing holding them back, like a busyness or own there own house the things that you just don't give up. if you really take a look at this site and most of you know 95% of the time that you meet somone does not live in your area and to many people use that as an excuss not to go anywhere I got to have it my way or noway at all. Hell sometimes we have to take chances in life to see where it leads us and if we don't,it will always be in the back of your heads what if... See i'm seeing someone that lives 400 miles from me and for me to pass this up would be the biggest mistake of my life as far as meeting someone. I stop looking at what I thought wasn't going to work and by doing that I started to see things different. So in all of this, you got a choice eithere you can look at what is wrong in finding someone or you can take a chance in life and find out that you can actually live a life.

Thanks guys

Snugglesbyfire I can see where your at but knowing that you have a open mind on things makes a world a difference on who you might meet. When I first came on this site and others I was giving myself so many excuses why I couldn'r find anyone or looking at what i thought i needed and not what would make me happy. The neat thing about the new friendship that is growing with me right now is, i'm happy and I didn't feel this way in my past. I thought I did and came to realise I wasn't because i din't take the time to get to know them or let them know me. For me this young lady i'm seeing. I'm learning things from her and that is because we have the time to get to know one another and it's not forced in a everyday living situation where you see each other all the time. I actually get to sit back and look on the outside of things and that is where most get lost. They don't take the time.

i agree shadow.

i'm looking at major life move myself, and i can see myself living in one of many new areas. that totally opened my horizons and got me to looking at people all across the country. it's quite nice to have the extra selection available.

now i can understand some people not wanting to go far - i felt that way at first too. things are way different in person. then i realized there are way too many cool people on this site that you'd never date anyway who are definitely worth having as friends. who cares if they're on the other side of the country for that?

Shadow Im so happy for you and your lady.......the nice thing about this site is you find out about the different states, what they have to offer........and I saved the best for last.....you make friends from all over..........at this point where I end up I have no idea........just know that it wont be where there is a lot of snow.........hate driving in that stuff........and if I meet someone special and he does live in a snowy area, then it was meant to be......but for now Im blessed to have an online place to go to where I am making many friends, and Im able to see the choices out there.

Snuggles, yeah this is a great site and some of the people that I have met or just read somthing they poted has givin me and idea on life and where I can go in it. We never know who were going to meet and what part thay play in our lives. So I try to have an open mind when I meet people. Hell i said this before. With out friends where would we be in life.

Thanks Dayv,I hope in time you find and everyone else that is hoping for a strong friendship will find it. I think what I'm really saying on this topic. Is if you give yourself a chance and take some risk in life. We all might find something more then what we ever expected.

Shadow, you two look so darling together.

I understand where you are coming from. I make friends all over the world. However, moving out of the area is not an option for me. I have my son to think of (won't move him away from his Daddy), my elderly mother, and the rest of my family.

Plus, as those of you that know me, my free time is limited. I am not adverse to a long distance thing, but honestly I don't know if I have it in me.

Hummm Shadow you are very right in how you are thiking. And yes there are differnt reasons for all why some can not move. those with small kids usually are limited within there state how far they can move for there is anothter parent involved and yes they do need to be considered. Then there are some that don't want to move away from family and friends.

Myself my kids are grown and yes my house is my house have lived here 15 years. But have I thought about it if I was to happen to meet someone from another state hell yeah I have.

For love has no boundries as far as I see it. Yeah if I did then both sides would have to be weighed. Myself if I was the one to move now were I would set my foot down is I would not sale my house. I have been left with no home in the past and will not happen again. But would let one of my kids move in and pick up the mortage ect.... until a later date to see how it all worked out.

So yeah I'm open minded if that was to come up in the situation. But untill then I'm content were I'm. But to me you really need to think what are you willing to do and stick to it. What works for one will not always work for the next person.flowerforyou bigsmile

I'm not looking for anything but friends and laughs and the occasional PB and banana sandwich with grongle jelly. It's hard enough to date when you're hale and hearty, but when you're physically disabled it's a major challenge.

Therefore, no dating for me, just lots of good times and belly poking. Let the swonnicles sway and the drongleblongers roll... bigsmile

Tex  I know that some things like you said will not work for others and alot of what you said is true. I'm more looking at the ones that don't have anything holding them back and not wanting to explore and see whats out there. I guess some just get comfortable where there at and have really never went anywhere, that the thought of actually taking a risk scares them. See,I grew up in LA and not untill I moved to San digeo that my mind open up to want to explore a little more. I always felt stuck and that I was never going to go anywhere and was depressed. So not moving things seem to stay the same. I'm only speaking for myself on what has worked for me and sense then I moved from San Diego to San luis obispo. Now I'm ready to move to Utah bigsmile I love to experience new things in life and moving has been one thing I can say that has givin me that chance to see things different.
