Will you ever see me for who I’m?
Instead of these words that rhyme.
That true person I’m inside.
Most of the time gets pushed aside.
Makes me wonder am I invisible.
Or is it t you I’m not approachable.
I truly do not understand.
From you I have never demand.
Not one thing only asked of your friendship.
Can you not even get a grip?
Funny I hear every day.
Some are looking for love to come there way.
But then they could be looking at them.
And it would be as if they were a transparent gem.
And look right through them as if they were not there.
People need to open there eyes.
And the things we expect of another may need to revise.
For no one out there is this perfect one.
No matter what in the long run.
You will find things out that you did not see.
We all have our flaws to a degree.
Maybe you might end up with that beauty queen.
Later you see the true person one that is pure mean.
Finding out later the one you looked through.
Turned out to be caring and loving but you did not know.
Cause all you could see was what was on the outside.
And never looked what was on the inside.
Someday maybe you will really see the one.
That if they were given a chance your heart they could have won.
They would not only have been your friend.
And they would have been there for you till the end.
But instead all you could see was beauty coming your way.
They had you pegged from the beginning and no thoughts to stay.
Only to take what they wanted.
And leave you with your dreams that are haunted.
So maybe the next time you look.
You should look deeper than the outside of the book.
