I can't say I have followed the fashion that is in style sure I have bought the ones that appeal to me... But I don't always wear what others do... I buy stuff that I like and appeals to me no matter what year they may have been in style....

Ok, I'm not game to say that i never followed a trend.
But I was a bush girl and didn't care what people said. Our school never had the popular or cheer leaders and stuff that you have, (well at least on TV it looks that way. But in our country schools there really wasnt any pressure. We all wore uniforms to school so everyone was the same, and lived in jeans or overalls the rest of the time. I wouldnt have even known or cared what the trend was |

We just wore school uniforms, and since I loved my school uniform so much, I've kept my clothing style simular to it ever since :) |

I grew up in the 80's- that is a decade of fashion I would rather forget! However, I got caught by surprise the other day when I was in a department store and they had pink denim with black leopard print stretch jeans and I wanted to buy them!!!! lmao at myself. the eighties are very much back. i'm not sure if that's a good thing. o.O |

As for me, I can walk into a store for one shirt, and I'll come out for hours later with a plain boring shirt I don't like. I can't shop for clothes on my own. I like my older sisters sense of style, so I always liked when she bought me clothes. I hate getting clothes from anyone else though. i told you i'd go shopping for you! |

I think in high school is when I stopped following. People are amazed when they find out I listen to 80's goth and watch horror flicks because I don't dress in black, have zero tattoos or piercings. such a square. |

I had Farrah Faucet hair. I wore Neon Pink proudly. It's a great color on me. I wore white fringy boots with leggings and a long shirt with a belt or a huge Shaker knit sweater. I cut up my sweatshirts like in Flash Dance. I had Cyndi Lauper hair. Only brunette. I spoke Valley Girl fluently and sometimes have a relapse of "OMG!" and saying "like" like too many times in one like sentence. I have followed just about every music trend. Ya, I dated the basketball star player. Ya, I dated the musicians. Ya, I still say "Ya". Just be grateful I don't say "for sure" anymore. I am PETA member and mostly a vegetarian yet have the court mandated 40 year old woman black leather jacket and tan washable suede jacket. Yes, I own neon green Betulas (Birkenstocks).
Right now, not following trends is a trend in itself. I am part of the whole reduce, reuse, recycle thing. I am a thrift store junkie. I pick my thrift stores so I am supporting a charity I like while buying designer clothes and such and keeping them out of a land fill. |

Let us not forget "Stiff Stuff" hair spray, banana clips, HAIR SCRUNCHIES. If you are a woman over 30 and say you never owned a hair scruncy, I will supply B with the straight razor. Oh and I shaved heads, styled mohawks, bleached hair, dying it funny colors, knew how to cut heavy metal guys layered haired, etc. I learned now to do acrylic nails on friends. Everyone I knew learned how to played Stairway to Heaven first thing on the guitar and Deep Purple.

I shop in thrift shops, online auctions and shops also. My wardrobe has professional, punk, goth, mainline, lady gaga style etc. I have turned my passion for clothes into a lucrative part time business where i have a stall at one of our local markets.

I did not do the tattoos until my late 30s. I think anyone who says they do not have a favorite horror movie is lying. I do not watch the same stuff as Torgo but if you say you don't know what "Damien! It's all for you!!" references I call BS. Or if I say it looks like they are puking "pea soup" and you do not know that reference BS. If you say, you never wore black eyeliner or owned black or purple nail polish ever. BS. If you never went through a dark phase, BS. If you never listened to depressing music of your era, BS. If you are my age and you don't know what "Blood and roses" references, BS. |
