How do you know what's an emergency? Applies to family only, all other calls will be ignored. Will not answer on first and second call if busy Member of family will continue ringing if something important is going on. That's my final answer |

Do you think it's acceptable to answer your phone while out on a date? What about texting? Do you text or answer calls while on dates? Ya know, I don't think there is a simple yea or nay answer......The right answer for me is it depends.....It depends on how well I know the guy, how long we have been dating, the number of calls, the length of the calls, the nature of the conversation....If I had a situation going on in my life like a sick family member or an "on call" job requirement and I knew my man resented me taking calls during "our" time together I would probably break the date and stay home....Also, I would like to think myself and the person I am dating would have enough common sense and good manners to handle incoming calls/texts appropriately if they did happen while we are on a date....At this point in my life, laying down dating rules is not for me..... |

I rarely have my cell phone turned on. I keep it in the car for emergencies. I just got a new one that I can barely work. That said, everyone else seems to keep their phone with them all the time. I have been in meetings with people who answer the phone and take care of business while I wait. I think that is just rude. The same thing goes for a date. If you set aside time to be with someone, turn the damn phone off. Life went on before they were invented. Yep, I just said the same thing about how people survived with out cell phones before. Turn the phone off. I think if you are worried about a sick family member or friend; then don't go on the date as you obviously won't be giving your date much attention. |
