I'm all for being responsible for myself. However, I hear a lot of guys wanting to have more say in what's going on and who are against things like abortion. So if that's the case, I would think more guys would step up and take birth control if it were to become available for men as well.

1) You are having sex too, so you are equally responsible. 2) It's you who will be pregnant, not the guy. 3) Not to nit pick, but it's about a seven day window during which you can get pregnant. |

My answer: Women are responsible because it's their bodies. Who is fertile when doesn't matter to me....the woman is the one that gets pregnant, so she has a bigger responsibility IMO. If men don't want to worry about a woman having their child, then they are responsible, as well Basically, we are responsible for our own bodies. It takes 2 to tango, so if you don't want to risk getting pregnant then protect yourself or don't dance I mean, if I decide to have sex and I don't want to get pregnant or STDs, then I should be responsible for my decision. Both are equal in deciding to have sex so both are equal to be responsible JMO So, if a woman should be solely responsible for birth control, do you also believe she should be the one responsible for deciding what to do with the baby? Whether she keeps it, puts it up for adoption, or gets an abortion? Did I say she was solely responsible? I said each is responsible for themselves....men and women. Don't read more into what I said. I am saying both are responsible equally. Some decide not to be responsible though |

I disagree....which is why I stated in my first post that it is JMO (just my opinion) I see it as equal responsibility and I stand by my own opinion as it is my opinion. I never said it was a women's sole responsibility. If you think one has more responsibility, then give your reasons as I have done, but that would be your opinion. Again...I didn't say it was one person's responsibility male or female |

If a woman don't wanna drop a spawn the size of a water mellon out of her stuff...I suggest that the womb bearer may consider different sexual options....oral, anal, boobies, phalangeal, or using her feet. (there is more than one way to skin a cat)
if you birds think I am just whistling "dixie"... remember that when you are screaming for an epidural. |

You said a woman has a bigger responsibility. That's different than equal. read the entire post...not just the first sentence. Let me break it down Women are responsible because it's their bodies. Who is fertile when doesn't matter to me....the woman is the one that gets pregnant, so she has a bigger responsibility IMO. The women's POV If men don't want to worry about a woman having their child, then they are responsible, as well The men's POV and then... Basically, we are responsible for our own bodies. It takes 2 to tango, so if you don't want to risk getting pregnant then protect yourself or don't dance Applies to both sexes I mean, if I decide to have sex and I don't want to get pregnant or STDs, then I should be responsible for my decision. Both are equal in deciding to have sex so both are equal to be responsible JMO my opinion. You just took the first sentence of the entire post out of context |

and don't forget my 2nd post
I agree about tradition. But you can't force someone to use birth control. You can only control yourself. If the guy doesn't want to use it, then don't have sex with him or you (generally speaking) protect yourself. Now if we want to weigh it out: Men are capable of fertlization EVERY DAY Women are the ones that get pregnant and carries the child Both decide to have sex so it's even IMO Any way...that would be my argument if I was asked that question These posts are saying that IMO people should be responsible for themselves....men and women |
