A dear friend of mine is in need of prayers for her son Caleb. He is a 6th grader and has been through more back surgeries than most people in their lives. They just got back from the ortho the other day and he is now showing signs of Multiple Sclerosis.

This is an amazing young man. Even with all he has endured and continues to endure, he still works hard to lead drives for the Ronald McDonald House (that has helped him and his family in need)

He is checking into the hospital tonight

Anyone (especially parents) know how hard it is to see your child go through something like this

The poor child is having a deficit/delayed reflexs, numbness and tingling in his left side. That was the reason for the tests at the ortho.

I have a cousin that got Polio in the first grade and can't begin to tell you how many surgerys he has had on his legs and back.. These kids suffer way tooo much but never complain.. Bless their hearts..

My 'mother heart' goes out to this family...
and I have a son named Caleb.

I'll hold space for them during my fire tonight.

My sincere heart goes 2 the child n his parents. God help them through this gracefully n positively

How long is he suppose to be in the hospital? Not a good way to have to spend your Easter poor thing...my heart and prayers goes out to him...

I'm not sure. He might have to have another surgery. I'm getting updates on FB

~ update ~

I just found out that Caleb had 2 unsuccessful lumbar punctures (spinal taps) and going for a 3rd with radiology there. Radiology will be doing it since he is a difficult stick due to all of the hardware in his back.

The 3rd spinal tap was successful. Now they are waiting on results!

~ update ~

2 more days of IV steroids, then he can go home. In 1 month Caleb will start Interferon therapy where he will give himself a daily injection. He is feeling better and getting strength back in some extremeties. The MS specialty sat down and talked with them and explained everything to Caleb.
