Have you ever still been dreaming as you wake up, so you think something really cool just happened but it was just that dreaming?
Then you maybe feel disappointed because you realize nothing remotely like it happened, though it seemed so real.

That just happened to me... brokenheart grumble

One time, never before or since.
I was about 20, never married.
Ond day I awoke after a dream, and
it seemed I was still in it.
About a feller.
The thing is I could NOT recall if
I were married or not.
Total blank.
I figured there was no kids but I
could not exit the day-dream until
I had called someone and asked
them my status.
Freaking weird.

Haha, that is strange...
And now my dream isn't so strange. Just disappointing.

I think a lot of benign dreams can
elevate your mood too, after.
Likewise a bad one can have your
eyes bugging out.

Thank your stars that no tiny bits
of reality were left floating about :-)

Haha, I'd have loved tiny bits of reality floating about from this...

It was receiving a message from my friend about how she had bought herself sexy lingerie to wear for me on my birthday and couldn't wait. blushing
I feel cheated by reality. laugh

I dreamed I was in a world where Twilight didn't exist, then I woke and realized it was all a dream. Sigh.

Well here is what I used to do if someone
forgot my birthday.

Me: "Hello?"
Them: "Heyyyyy..."
Me: "Happy Birthday!"
Them: "Buuuut, it's not my birthday?"
Me: "Oh.....it must be mine!"
Hang up.

In your case, maybe YOU should buy
the lingerie for her before calling.
Then make that dream work for you :-)

Sounds like a form of lucid dreaming.

I used to lucid dream quite often. Back when I was drinking oddly enough.

I have had this experience, waking from a dream, but I was always able to go back to sleep right away & pick up right where I left off in the dream.

I was also able to control my dreams at one time.

Crazy stuff...

Agrees with Filmfreek on a form of lucid dreaming.

The closest thing to dreaming as I wake up was actually laughing out loud in my dream, and apparently laughing out loud literally, which woke me up.

I thought lucid dreaming is like dreaming with awareness.
Or with the false awakening... waking up from a dream within a dream. So the one dream is acknowledged as such, but you're still dreaming and don't realize it.

I guess it could be to an extent. I was awake from that point on... albeit disappointed to be so awake. laugh

It is. After you figure out how, you basically learn to tweak and control your dreams. You can also wake up without knowing you're awake and the dream still follows you. Basically, you haven't grounded yourself, or REALLY snapped yourself awake.

Alright, the latter seems to apply then.

I once dreamt a dream in which I was dreaming of a dream I once had long ago in a dream.
In this dream, I was dreaming about a dream I have yet to dream.
Yet when I awoke, I was sure I had dreamt the dream I never dreamed!!!
Weird Chit!!!!!
 huh
