I once dreamt a dream in which I was dreaming of a dream I once had long ago in a dream. In this dream, I was dreaming about a dream I have yet to dream. Yet when I awoke, I was sure I had dreamt the dream I never dreamed!!! Weird Chit!!!!! That's deep. |

Rav. If you want a good "how-to" guide on lucid dreaming, I would recommend "The Art of Dreaming" by Carlos Casteneda.
It's also a very good read. |

What immediately comes to mind is one of the rare flying dreams I've had. Well, it was more like hovering, but that's neither here nor there...
I "woke up" several times within the dream, and each time I would re-test my flying ability to make sure it was still intact before continuing about my day. And then, I ACTUALLY woke up. I just lied there for a moment, stewing in my disappointment because I knew for certain that it wasn't going to work this time. ...Then I tried it anyway. |

Have you ever still been dreaming as you wake up, so you think something really cool just happened but it was just that dreaming? Then you maybe feel disappointed because you realize nothing remotely like it happened, though it seemed so real. That just happened to me... it has happened to me on a number of occasions- where I really don't know which version of my life I am in the moment I wake up. I've often had to clarify details with my husband to get me straight; sometimes it takes a while before I believe him! It was especially strong the year 3 of my granparents died. I'd have dreams where I was interacting with them. When I woke it would take me a while to figure out they weren't around any more (physically). |

Those can be thoroughly saddening. |

SOme well established people in themselves are powerful enough that their very thoughts bend reality and that is like dreaming.Everyone does this a little. I figure i should add that i used to lucid a lot. Like hey, these are zobies and cutting them is both disgusting vand relieving, but so tiring and i just don't want the next wave. but hey, this is my dream and why am i sending another wave, then crash... a few more waves an i got the situation so that they would stay in the other rooms and i could move out of the vacant, ruined building. Or flying and being like, man why can't i fly as well right now, what's holding me back? etc... Now i wonder why i am not having or not recalling these dreams. they used to be so common. Al types, sex dreams, stopping time, getting super jumping powers, adventure themes, dreams which i just thought too much and was like, well, this doesn't make sense, must be a dream. Or when a long bearded man showed me a rock, and i was like talking, screaming rock, what, i must be asleep. Damn. the last dream like that i had was about a yogi mystic guy who told me indirectly to watch for a new relativity theory to be invented. I hope i was supposed to hear in on that . then again, since science is so interesting to me, it could have just been high hopes and anticipation dreaming. |
